Us Republicans Have To Do Something

First of all do any of you get polled?
I never get polled. Every time I get on an Internet poll, CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, etc..The Lunatic Liberals already have all thier friends, relatives, etc..get on those polls as fast as possible to make a negative reaction toward President Bush. His poll numbers are not declining. As far as I have heard from ALOT of Republicans ALOT of us NEVER get polled. Anyway the point being we have to find a way to do the same thing the Liberals are doing with these online polls.
Second the Lunatic Liberals are in full attack mode again. They are going so far as most of you know blaming President Bush for a slow response to Hurricane Katrina. Knowing full well the President only has the authority to declare a "Federal" emergancy freeing up Federal monies to deal with the disaster and FEMA. It's up to the "State" and "Local" government to declare a "State" of emergancy and allowing the State and Local authorities to call up the National Guard and other emergancy agencies, first responders etc.. What's strange to me is ALL these other Hurricane ridden states Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, etc..ALL have a plan (In Advance) to deal with a disaster such as a Hurricane. These other states seem to have drills, etc.. all the time and a plan to evacuate people should that become necessary, and have the National Guard already ready. Did Louisiana? It appears not. The only one with any complaints, seems to have been Louisiana. That tells me they never had a plan, a drill, and then threw all the blame on President Bush, until recently when Governor Blanco (Louisiana) accepted "Some" responsability for what happened after Hurricane Katrina.
But then you have Senator Landrieu (Who threatened the President's saftey), Senator Kerry, Chairman of the DNC Former Governor Dean "Yeahhhhh", ex-President Clinton, Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam)"For the Love of God" , and Cindy Sheehan of all people along with the rest of the Lunatic Lefties practicaly accusing President Bush of blowing the wind himself Louisiana's way to create this disaster. Louis Farrakhan has even gone as far as acusing the Bush administration of "Blowing Up" the Levees in New Orleans so that "Black People would drown!!! I suppose Mother Nature was in on it too. This is getting to the point we have to make a stand people! Sitting back and letting the Lunatic Left whine and hollar this time isnt going to work. WE HAVE TO MAKE A STATEMENT HERE!!!!!
If any of you know any online polls PLEASE let me know. It's time we back our President once again. And show these Lunes we mean business and they are NOT going to drag our President down!!!!

Here is what Senator Kerry had to say:
Administration'
By Randy Hall
CNSNews.com Staff Writer/Editor
September 20, 2005

(CNSNews.com) -- In a speech reminiscent of the 2004 presidential campaign, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) Monday charged that President Bush is heading a "Katrina administration," an accusation a GOP spokesman called "unsavory at best."

Kerry -- who unsuccessfully opposed Bush in last year's election -- said Hurricane Katrina was a "horrifying disaster" that has shown "Americans at their best and their government at its worst," but "the bottom line is simple: The 'we'll do whatever it takes' administration doesn't have what it takes to get the job done. This is the Katrina administration.""

Addressing an audience at Brown University in Providence, R.I., Kerry stated: "Katrina stripped away any image of competence and exposed to all the true heart and nature of this administration.

"The truth is that for four and a half years, real life choices have been replaced by ideological agenda, substance replaced by spin, governance second place always to politics," the senator added.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is only going to continue unless we put these Lunatics in thier place!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And everyone knows this Nutjob has just gone over the top and is in dire need of Medication:
Cindy Sheehan, who this week once again exploited the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina.

Sheehan, writing a guest commentary on Michael Moore's website, said the following:

"One thing that truly troubled me about my visit to Louisiana was the level of the military presence there. I imagined before that if the military had to be used in a CONUS (Continental US) operations that they would be there to help the citizens. Clothe them, feed them, shelter them, and protect. But what I saw was a city that is occupied."

Sheehan went on to conclude that, "George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq, and excuse his self from power,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is that NOT what our Military IS doing?
Feeding, clothing, getting a grip on the uncontrollable violence that plagued that city after the Hurricane?
Someone hand that Moron a "Back to reality" pill!!!!
We HAVE to stop this crap!!!!
Louis Farrakhan Thinks Levees Were "Blown Up"
Louis Farrakhan: Levees Were 'Blown Up'
NewsMax.com:
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan is telling his followers that the levees in New Orleans may have been deliberately "blown up" to kill the city's black population.
The influential preacher was in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, where he detailed his Hurricane Katrina conspiracy theory.
"I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach," Farrakhan explained. "It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry."
Farrakhan didn't say who he thought was behind the plot to blow up New Orleans' levees.
The Muslim minister also blasted both FEMA and the Red Cross, saying their response to Katrina victims after the levees were blown up was inadequate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is he serious? Why is the "NATION OF ISLAM" voicing thier opinion about anything?
Is this an appropriate time for the Nation of Islam to be involved in conspiracy theories?
Does it really make any sense at all, ANY SENSE AT ALL, that someone would intentionaly "Blow Up" the Levees in New Orleans for ANY reason? Knowing what an impact it was going to have on the city of New Orleans and the rest of the Country, not to mention the lives lost black AND white, old and young, the Gulf shipping port, or the offshore oil rigs?
I am sure President Bush has also orchestrated this elaborate plan to have Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf coast right where it would be the deadliest, and most devistating to our Nations economy right when President Bush is trying his best to keep our economy strong after the devistating attacks of 9-11.
Get Real Louie!!!!!

Breaking News from NewsMax.com

Gov. Kathleen Blanco's Bureaucrats Blocked Food and Water

The Red Cross was reportedly ready to deliver food, water and other supplies to flood-ravaged evacuees who were sweltering inside New Orleans' Superdome last week - but the relief was blocked by bureaucrats who worked for Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco.
Fox News Channel's Major Garrett reported Wednesday that the Red Cross had "trucks with water, food, hygiene equipment, all sorts of things ready to go ... to the Superdome and Convention Center."

But the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security, Garrett said, "told them they could not go."

"The Red Cross tells me that Louisiana's Department of Homeland Security said, 'Look, we do not want to create a magnet for more people to come to the Superdome or Convention Center, we want to get them out,'" he explained.

"So at the same time local officials were screaming where is the food, where is the water, the Red Cross was standing by ready [and] the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security said you can't go."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now there is an arguement going on whether the rest of the residents of New Orleans should be physically evacuated due to the toxic water surrounding the city. The Governor of Louisiana wont sign a "Yes" order!!
For GOD'S sake Lady, get those people out so they can spray for diseases, and let the people know they can come back in the near future and no-one will disturb what's left of thier homes!!!!
I just cant believe this is happening. This could become a NATIONAL Epidemic of rampant disease that may spread throughout the ENTIRE Country!!!
GET THOSE PEOPLE OUT!!! GET THE DISEASE SITUATION UNDER CONTROL, AND FIX THIS DAMN PROBLEM BEFORE THE REST OF US DIE MORON!!!
Scott Speicher Update:
I heard the story today but I cant remember where it came from but I do have 1 reader that I know of that insists I keep up with this, and I would realy LOVE to see this come to a conclusion one way or another myself so I am.
Scott Speicher was shot down during the first day of the first gulf war. He was listed as "Missing in Action", then his status was changed to "Missing In Action:Captured", Then his status was changed to "Missing In Action: Deceased"
Well the "Captured" OLD Iraqi Regime members seem to be talking since Saddam admitted last week that he was responsible for atrocities commited against his own people and several other things that pain in the ass admitted to last week.
It seems some of his Regime members say there is no reason to believe he is dead and may know where he is. And they may have the results (The US Military) Of where he is or what has happened to him as early as today! As of today his status has been changed back to: "Missing-Captured". When I find out more I will post it.
Howard Dean Is At It Again At The Most Inappropriate Time
NBC6.net: South Florida:
Howard Dean Says Race Played Role In Katrina Death Toll
Democratic Party Chairman Speaks In South Florida
POSTED: 9:56 am EDT September 8, 2005
UPDATED: 10:01 am EDT September 8, 2005
MIAMI -- Race was a factor in the rising death toll from Hurricane Katrina, Howard Dean told members of the National Baptist Convention of America on Wednesday at the group's annual meeting.
Dean, Democratic party chairman, made the comments to the Baptists' Political and Social Justice Commission. The Baptist Convention has an estimated 3.5 million members representing 3,000 churches and is one of the largest black religious groups in the country.
"We must ... come to terms with the ugly truth that skin color, age and economics played a deadly role in who survived and who did not," Dean said.
Dean said Americans have a moral responsibility to not ignore the devastating effects of damage caused by Hurricane Katrina when it struck the Gulf Coast.
The former presidential candidate said the government will be judged on how it treats the old, the young and the poor.
"People are poor in different parts of the country. They are not refugees. They are Americans," he said.
Dean said that instead of considering proposed estate tax breaks, the Senate should channel the $760 billion savings into disaster relief funds.
"Shall we give that to the wealthiest people in the country, or should we rebuild New Orleans?" Dean said.
He also said the funds that now support the Iraq war could be used to reconstruct New Orleans or to aid the poor and elderly.
Dean urged the government to exempt victims of Hurricane Katrina from a stricter new bankruptcy law for one year.
"I hope Chairman Dean will match his rhetoric with his support for reforms that replace bureaucracy and entitlement with hope and opportunity," said Ken Mehlman, Dean's counterpart in the Republican National Committee.
Stephen J. Thurston, president of the Baptist Convention, said there was a lack of response and sensitivity by the government toward the Gulf Coast disaster.
Thurston's group and three other Baptist organizations representing 15 million churchgoers will hold a joint meeting in January 2008 before the next presidential election, Thurston said.
The Baptists intend to pursue an aggressive voter registration and participation campaign for 2008 Presidential election, Thurston said.
He said that had more blacks voted, the outcome of the 2004 election might have been different.
Commission member Joseph Richardson, Sr., of Broadview, Ill., agreed with Thurston.
"I think anyone would want leadership that relates to people's needs," Richardson said. "The mayor (of New Orleans) was crying out for five whole days."
This Is The Head Of The Democratic Party????........Grrrrrrrrrrr
What they arent telling you is the American Red Cross and Some of the National Guard were already there at the ready to assist storm victims and were told by The Governor of Louisiana Not To!!! There was no race card played ask the rescued victims...
Donating To Victims Of Hurricane Katrina
Beware!!!!
Donating to hurricane victims has become a nightmare. You dont know where the money is going, and there are scams beyond belief going on. I suggest NOT donating OnLine Unless it is a Legitimate Organization you KNOW for sure will either deliver the goods or the money to the people. Well actually the organization (This is just what I have been told several times I have no absolute proof) gets the money and distributes it equally to victims. I have spent the last few days donating, going through closets, etc.. I have found the "Salvation Army", the "American Red Cross",(Yes there is a BIG difference in the International and the American Red Cross) and (bushclintonkatrinafund.com) to be the most trustworthy. If you dont trust another organization other than whom you have already dealt with before DONT DONATE!!!! If you specify to the Salvation Army that you want the things you donate to go directly to the Victims of Hurricane Katrina they "Say" they will get them to them. I am hoping they will. I have delt with them for years and I am counting on them to do what I have specified. But the only reason I am going on about this I have been recieving e-mails, pop-ups, you name it I have gotten it, I have reported them but who knows how far in this catastrophe this will go.
But if you can, even just some change, a few spare blankets you will never use again, clothes, toys, etc. these people need EVERYTHING. I wish I had the room I would take in a family, but I dont. I have a full house. It will take a long long time before they will be able to "OPEN" New Orleans, and some parts of Mississippi to the Public again, but for now (I never thought in America we would ever say this) but New Orleans is closed!!!) And some beach coasts as far in as 40 miles of Mississippi are closed!!! I know this tugs at all of our heart strings, and I am doing as much as I possibly can and I know everyone else is to. But DONATE!! if you know a reputable organization not some crazy popup or e-mail someone you trust, check them out first before you donate. Just Be Careful. Dont trust ANYONE!!!Check them out first!!
Governor Of Louisiana Refused Bush Aid
Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005 12:47 p.m. EDT
Gov. Kathleen Blanco Refused Bush Aid
NewsMax:
Though her state has been devastated by Hurricane Katrina and thousands are believed dead in New Orleans, Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco has refused to allow the federal government to take control of evacuation efforts.
"Shortly before midnight Friday, the Bush administration sent her a proposed legal memorandum asking her to request a federal takeover of the evacuation of New Orleans," the Washington Post reported in Sunday editions.
Gov. Blanco's office rejected the request, the paper said - concerned that such a move would be comparable to a federal declaration of martial law.
The Louisiana Democrat had also failed to use more than a hundred school buses parked near to Superdome to transport stranded citizens who didn't have to means to obey earlier evacuation orders.
After the 17th Street Levee broke on Tuesday, the buses were rendered usless by rising flood waters.
State and federal officials also told the Post that Gov. Blanco did not reach out to a multi-state mutual aid compact for assistance until Wednesday - more than 24 hours after New Orleans descended into chaos.
Oh This Gets Better
NewsMax:
Mary Landrieu: I'll Punch Bush, 'Literally'
Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana) threatened the president of the United States with physical violence on Sunday, saying that if he or any other government official criticizes New Orleans police for failing to keep civil order in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - "I might likely have to punch him - literally."
"If one person criticizes [our sheriffs], or says one more thing, including the president of the United States, he will hear from me - one more word about it after this show airs and I - I might likely have to punch him - literally," Landrieu railed on "ABC's "This Week."
It is illegal to threaten the president with physical violence.
The Louisiana Democrat blasted Bush for neglecting the New Orleans levees, and demanded that he stop using the disaster for "photo-ops."
"The president came here yesterday for a photo-op," Landrieu charged, while surveying the disaster scene via helicopter with "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos in tow. "He got his photo-op but we are never going to get this fixed if he does not send us help now."
Landrieu also blamed Bush for cutting funding for levee improvement, before bursting into tears on camera.
In recent days, Louisiana officials have been criticized for bungling evacuation and rescue efforts. One of those officials, Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, is Sen. Landrieu's brother.
Exactly What I Have Been Saying
Don't Blame Bush for Katrina
Christopher Ruddy:
NewsMax:
Monday, Sept. 5, 2005
George Bush and the federal government are not to blame for the disaster we have witnessed in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
In fact, the primary responsibility for the disaster response lies with New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco and other local officials.
Yet leading Democrats and their allies in the major media are clearly using this disaster for political purposes and ignoring one obvious fact.
This fact – which needs to be repeated and remembered – is that in our country, state and local governments have primary responsibility in dealing with local disasters.
The founding fathers devised a federal system of government – one that has served us remarkably well through great disasters that have befallen America over more than two centuries.
But if we believe the major TV networks, George Bush, FEMA and the Republicans in Congress are all to blame for the current nightmare.
Let's remember that FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, was created only in 1979. It was formed to coordinate and focus federal response to major disasters – to "assist" local and state governments.
Common sense suggests that local and state governments are best able to prepare and plan for local disasters.
Is a Washington bureaucrat better suited to prepare for an earthquake in San Francisco, a hurricane in Florida, or a terrorist act in New York?
After the Sept. 11 attacks against the World Trade Center, no one suggested that the Bush administration should have been responsible for New York's disaster response or that federal agents should have been involved in the rescue of those trapped in the buildings.
Last year, four major hurricanes slammed into Florida. Governor Jeb Bush led the disaster response and did a remarkable job, with nothing happening like what we have seen in New Orleans.
The primary response in disasters has always come from local communities and state governments.
First responders and the manpower to deal with emergencies come from local communities: police, fire and medical. Under our federal system, these local departments answer to local authorities, not those in Washington. These first responders are not even under federal control, nor do they have to follow federal orders.
In addition to local responders, every state in the Union has a National Guard.
State National Guards answer first to the governor of each state, not to the president. The National Guard exists not to defend one state from an invasion by another state, but primarily for emergencies like the one we have witnessed in New Orleans and in other areas impacted by Katrina. (See: http://www.arng.army.mil/about_us/organization/command_structure.asp)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tim Russert and the Blame Game

The media would have you believe that this disaster was worsened by a slow response from President Bush and his administration, though the primary responsibility for disaster response has always been with local and state governments.

It is true that federal response was not as fast as it could have been. The president himself has acknowledged that fact.

But the press has focused on the first 48 hours of federal response, not uttering a word about the fact that New Orleans had 48 hours of warning that a major Category 4 or 5 would make landfall near the city, yet local officials apparently did little to prepare.

Obviously, Gov. Blanco did not effectively deploy her state's National Guard.

And New Orleans' city leaders did almost nothing to evacuate the portion of the population with no transportation. In failing to follow their own evacuation plan, these officials did little to pre-position food, water and personnel to deal with the aftermath.

I was surprised Sunday to watch Tim Russert, on his show "Meet the Press," tear into Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff. During his encounter with Chertoff, Russert did not suggest once that local government had any role in dealing with the disaster. Russert also asked for Chertoff's resignation.

It wasn't until after the first 29 minutes of his show – 29 minutes – that Russert raised the question of local responsibility. And when he did so with Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard, he did so in a passing way. Broussard brushed off his question with a non-answer.

Broussard began his interview claiming that the nation had "abandoned" New Orleans.

That is nonsense and a lie.

Broussard, who was never identified by "Meet the Press" as a Democrat, spent much of his time attacking the Bush administration, as has Democratic New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.

Broussard then ended his performance as he collapsed in tears with a demand: "For God's sake, just shut up and send us the money!"

His tears didn't wash with me. My sympathies lie with the tens of thousands of people who have suffered or died because local officials like Broussard, Mayor Nagin and Governor Kathleen Blanco, also a Democrat, failed monumentally at their jobs.

As former New Orleans Mayor Marc Morial told Russert, the disaster in New Orleans was "foreseeable."

In fact, New Orleans has long known that such a disaster could take place if a major hurricane hit the city.

The municipality even prepared its own "City of New Orleans Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan."

The plan makes it evident that New Orleans knew that evacuation of the civilian population was the primary responsibility of the city – not the federal government.

The city plan acknowledges its responsibility in the document:

As established by the City of New Orleans Charter, the government has jurisdiction and responsibility in disaster response. City government shall coordinate its efforts through the Office of Emergency Preparedness.

The city document also makes clear that decisions involving a proper and orderly evacuation lie with the governor, mayor and local authorities. Nowhere is the president or federal government even mentioned:

The authority to order the evacuation of residents threatened by an approaching hurricane is conferred to the Governor by Louisiana Statute. The Governor is granted the power to direct and compel the evacuation of all or part of the population from a stricken or threatened area within the State, if he deems this action necessary for the preservation of life or other disaster mitigation, response or recovery. The same power to order an evacuation conferred upon the Governor is also delegated to each political subdivision of the State by Executive Order. This authority empowers the chief elected official of New Orleans, the Mayor of New Orleans, to order the evacuation of the parish residents threatened by an approaching hurricane.

It is clear the city also recognized that it would need to move large portions of its population, and it would need to prepare for such an eventuality:

The City of New Orleans will utilize all available resources to quickly and safely evacuate threatened areas. Those evacuated will be directed to temporary sheltering and feeding facilities as needed. When specific routes of progress are required, evacuees will be directed to those routes. Special arrangements will be made to evacuate persons unable to transport themselves or who require specific life saving assistance. Additional personnel will be recruited to assist in evacuation procedures as needed. ...

Evacuation procedures for small scale and localized evacuations are conducted per the SOPs of the New Orleans Fire Department and the New Orleans Police Department. However, due to the sheer size and number of persons to be evacuated, should a major tropical weather system or other catastrophic event threaten or impact the area, specifically directed long range planning and coordination of resources and responsibilities efforts must be undertaken. [You can read New Orleans' Emergency Plan for hurricanes at its Web site: http://www.cityofno.com/portal.aspx?portal=46&tabid=26]

The city's plan also specifically called for the use of city-owned buses and school buses to evacuate the population. These were apparently never deployed, though the Parish of Plaquemines just south of the city evacuated its population using school buses.

The plan, written well before Katrina was even a teardrop in God's eye, was obviously never heeded or implemented by local leaders.

But why should the New Orleans mayor and Governor Blanco take responsibility when they can blame George Bush and the Republicans in Washington?

With congressional elections fast approaching, Democrats who are out of power in every branch of the federal government know they need to change the tide quickly.

They have apparently seized on the Katrina disaster to harm the president politically.

Criticism of the federal government's response is fair and warranted. But putting full responsibility for this disaster on the Bush administration is way over the top.

Primary responsibility for this disaster remains with local officials like Nagin and Blanco, not President Bush.

And this Republican intends to follow this story and hold those resposible in Louisiana for this disaster!!! No matter if I piss off both parties!!!!!!

I Wasnt Going To Start Fingerpointing But....

I wasnt going to start fingerpointing, and I dont chat very often, but lastnight I went to a Political Chatroom on Yahoo chat. What I found there was shocking. And it wasnt just 1 Political chatroom, it was ALL of them! The blame the Left is throwing at our President is overwhelming. However there were more Republicans there to counter all the mudslinging, but the point is, the left is so hateful of the South and everyone that voted for President Bush, they actually thought Louisiana and the Gulf coast states "Got what was comming to them"!!! I found this extremely disturbing. Making fun of people who had just went through the worst Natural Disaster in this Nations History is just unacceptable. The truth of the matter is every state has its own Governor who runs the state, and a Mayor in every city that runs the city. The President has the authority ONLY to declare Federal and National emergancies. Unless of course we were to be attacked like what happened on 9-11. The state has to declare a "State" of emergancy. President Bush DID declare both "Federal" and "National" emergancy's 2 days before the storm ever hit. Clearing the way and speeding up the process for "Federal" monies to be available, and the National Guard to be available WHEN the Governor of the affected state calls for help. Now the Governor's of Mississippi and Alabama were in touch with the President right away. The Governor of Louisiana thought at first they had dodged a bullet when the storm passed and they werent flooded. But then came the flood. The Governor of Louisiana still didnt call for emergancy aid until this disaster was in epic proportions already. So 1 day already passes without any help getting to the people. President Bush clearly must have been wondering by this point what is going on? So he tours the Louisiana area and decides for himself to send help. The Governor had requested a small amount of National Guard at first because there was no way at the time of knowing the magnitutde of the situation. So the situation keeps getting worse, President Bush takes another tour of ALL the damaged areas, and decides that (He being a Governor himself) Louisiana needs a WHOLE LOT more aid and assistance and National Guard presence than the Governor of Louisiana ever requested. Hence during his tour over the devistation, help started arriving from everywhere. The Ground, Air, and Sea. Then people started getting the help they needed. Now at first I was going to give the Governor of Louisiana (Kathleen Blanco) the benefit of the doubt. And the Mayor of New Orleans (Ray Nagon) the benefit of the doubt also. Until I found out that there was alot more that could have been done by both of them before the storm ever hit. On a yahoo news story I saw yesterday, Drudgereport had it also there were hunderds and hunderds of buses, school buses, other buses sitting in water. They could have been used in the very beginning to evacuate hundreds possibly thousands more people before the flood waters came, and they were never deployed. Yet when there were other buses on thier way he "The Mayor" had ordered them to go get people from the Hyatt hotel and take them to the front of the line at the Superdome and get them evacuated to Houston Texas before the people who had been sitting in filth and sqwaller for days were allowed to leave. He let his buddies cut in the front of the line. This came from a man who was on a talk radio show and demanded "Someone get off your asses and do something". Why didnt he do something? Why did "Blanco" wait so long to call for the small amount of help she requested, and turn it into a bigger amount of help she actually needed? I do blame these 2 for not thinking the worst is about to come and we need to do something about this NOW!! When 9-11 happened I saw Rudy Juliani and Governor Pataki right out on the front lines with thier people comforting them, and rolling up thier sleeves to get a handle on the situation. I havent seen this yet from the Mayor of New Orleans, and The Governor of Louisiana. And the left has the balls to blame President Bush for a slow response? Note: I havent heard the Governor's of Mississippi, and Alabama blame our President for a slow response! The ball was in Louisiana's court and they blew it. Not to mention when 80% of the state of Louisiana is under water, coordinating an effort of this magnitude and having it arrive in 4 days is not bad at all. But the thing that gets me the most is most of the help needed could have been sent earlier had the Governor and the Mayor whom I'm sure have had drills on this shit, got off THIER ASSES earlier!!! And thank GOD we have a President who knew he wasnt being told something and went and found out for himself, and got help in thier faster than the Governor or the Mayor ever would have.
God Bless You President Bush!!!
And if you dont believe me, go to any Politics Lobby chatroom on Yahoo and hear and see for yourself how the Lunatic Left Liberals are cheapening themselves more and more over this event.
I intend to copy and paste this post and mail it to every single Senator, Congressman, and Representative, so if there is an investigation, and I hope there is, they will start at the right place, right in the Heart of the Big Easy!!!

60 Countries Now In Line To Help The US. And one of them is Cuba?

Regional Media Headlines: Cuban Help Proposal to US

Havana, Sep 3 (Prensa Latina) Regional media outlets have praised and widely covered the solidarity gesture of the Cuban government and people to offer medical and material aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The unconditional stance taken by Havana was widely covered by main newspapers and radio and television stations in Peru, Nicaragua and Bolivia.

El Comercio, one of the majors newspapers in Peru, headlined "Fidel Castro offers aid to the US," and included a picture of the Cuban president.

The RPP radio-television station reported that Cuba would send 1,100 doctors and 24 tons of medicines to Katrina-stricken people in the US.

Asked on the Cuban gesture, a Peruvian citizen said, "that is common in Cuba, as it has taken a similar stance when natural phenomena have occurred in other countries. Today, there are no disasters in Latin America and Africa but thousands of Cuban doctors are working there.

In Nicaragua, Nuevo Diario daily published that Cuba offered doctors to the US irrespective of political and ideological disputes and in compliance with its international policy of cooperation to fight natural disasters.

According to the paper, Cuba has always helped nations in need, as it did with the US when it was the target of terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

La Primerisima, La Nueva Radio Ya, Sandino and 580 radio stations cited reports foreign agencies made on the proposal by President Fidel Castro.

Havana´s gesture of solidarity was also extolled by Bolivian media, which made reports and editorials on the news.

"Cuba offers the US 1,100 doctors to treat victims," headlined La Razon de La Paz paper, while various television news stations showed images of the roundtable in which Fidel Castro made the announcement.

Comforter-In-Chief

Just as he did right after the attack on 9-11 President Bush has proven himself to be the Comforter-In-Chief..
I cant believe all the finger pointing at our President over a Natural disaster!!!!
I dont see any Congressman, Senators, Representatives, or other elected officials out thier comforting those victims of one of the worst Natural disasters of our Country's History.
This picture tells all...

All this fingerpointing by the left and some nitwits on the right is low even for you idiots in the midst of this catastrophe!!

The Cavalry Arrives

It seemed like all at once they decended on Louisiana from the air, water, and land, to take back control of New Orleans. And get people evacuated, and bring them desperately needed food, water, and medication. As hundreds of buses lined up to evacuate the stranded, then came hunderds of Ambulances, thousands of National Guard troops, then came news a joint effort by the Airlines to evacuate people with donated airplanes was certainly welcome news.
Having traveled through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and New Orleans on my way to and back from watching one of my sons Graduate Basic Training in the Army in Ft. Benning, Georgia back in June of 2001, I am truly moved to tears by the devistation of places I wanted to go and visit again.
Although I am Republican to the core, that doesnt mean I agree with EVERYTHING they say ALL the time! For Instance Denny Hastert and I dont see eye to eye on the rebuilding and restoration of New Orleans. I say build it better and stronger. I guess he doesnt see it that way. Oh well I know it will take years, but I do believe the landscape may be changed but it will be a better New Orleans, Mississippi, and Alabama when all is said and done.
These pictures were a welcome sight to see today:

God Bless the people devistated by Hurricane Katrina..
