Walmart Employees Shoot Cat

Wal-Mart Employees Charged With Shooting Cat On Manager's Orders

POSTED: December 30, 2004

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Two Wal-Mart employees who police say followed a manager's orders to shoot and kill a stray cat have been charged with federal animal cruelty.

The men, both assistant managers at the Supercenter, were arrested and released after a court appearance Wednesday. Christopher Anderson, 29, and Jeffrey Hardin, 21, told police the store's manager ordered them to get rid of the animal that was living in a storage trailer behind their store.

All managers potentially involved in the incident have been suspended without pay pending an internal investigation and could be fired, said Wal-Mart spokeswoman Sharon Weber.

"We were outraged when we learned of this incident. This kind of action is completely inconsistent with the way we do business," she said.

A truck driver who reported the incident said he saw store employees placing what he believed to be a dead animal in shrink wrap a day after he heard workers joking about shooting the cat.

Store manager Darrel Weitzel told police he had told some of his employees to get a gun and get rid of the cat after attempts to coax it from the trailer failed, according to a police report.

Anderson and Hardin were scheduled for a hearing Jan. 4.

FORMER US President Clinton Urges Coordinated Aid Effort

U.K. - AFP
Former US president Clinton urges coordinated aid effort for south Asia

Tue Dec 28,12:03 PM ET

LONDON (AFP) - Former US president Bill Clinton urged a coordinated effort to provide relief to the countries stricken by the tidal wave that killed tens of thousands across South Asia.

"It is really important that somebody take the lead in this," he told BBC Radio 4's Today program.

"I think one of the problems is when everybody takes responsibility it's almost like no one's responsibility."

Clinton said individual countries should target aid at specific areas.

"Maybe what we should do is get countries or groups of countries to take responsibility for specific countries that were hurt," he said.

"I think if you did that you would have a better chance of seeing responsibilities fulfilled even when the emotional tug wanes."

The United Nations (news - web sites) on Monday said that the biggest disaster relief operation ever staged would be needed for the Asian tsunami (sea surge) victims as medicines and other emergency supplies started pouring into the worst-hit areas.

UN disaster relief coordinator Jan Egeland said the cost of the devastation will be in the "billions of dollars.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Can someone please tell BillyBob "HE ISNT THE PRESIDENT ANYMORE"!!!!!!!!
And PRESIDENT BUSH already has a coordinated aid effort going on with several other countries.
What is it going to take to make the Liberals realize they are OUT!!!
Now I'm sure if PRESIDENT BUSH asks BillyBob to aid in some way he may get involved, but until he does, BillyBob needs to keep his comments to himself.

U.N. Backs Down, Say's US Not Stingy !@#$#@!

UN Official Backs Down: Rich Nations Not 'Stingy'
Tue Dec 28, 2004 02:05 PM ET

By Irwin Arieff
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The international response to a catastrophic tsunami in Asia has been quick and generous, a senior U.N. official said on Tuesday, playing down his earlier comments that wealthy nations were stingy.

U.N. Emergency Relief Coordinator Jan Egeland rowed back from statements he made on Monday after an annoyed Secretary of State Colin Powell said Washington was "the greatest contributor to international relief efforts in the world."

"The United States is not stingy," Powell told CNN's "American Morning" program.

Egeland, a Norwegian, pleaded at a Monday news conference for individuals and governments around the world to respond generously to the humanitarian disaster created by the tsunami that struck a broad swath of southern Asia on Sunday.

Asked about the response of rich nations to such crises, he said: "It is beyond me why are we so stingy, really."

"If actually the foreign assistance of many countries now is 0.1 or 0.2 percent of their gross national income, I think that is stingy really. I don't think that is very generous," he said.

The United Nations urged rich nations a quarter of a century ago to give away 0.7 percent of their gross domestic product every year in the form of development aid.

To date, however, just a handful of European nations, most of them in Scandinavia, actually meet that goal.

The United States, the world's largest economy, contributes about 0.13 a year of its GDP to development aid. But that figure excludes aid to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as food aid, where the United States is the world's largest donor.

"We are busting our butts to help and comments like that don't reflect what we are doing," said a State Department official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Egeland told reporters on Tuesday: "I've been misinterpreted when I yesterday said that I believed that rich countries in general can be more generous."

"It has nothing to do with any particular country or the response to this emergency. We are in early days and the response has so far been overwhelmingly positive," he said.

"The international assistance that has come and been pledged from the United States, from Europe and from countries in the region has also been very generous," Egeland added.

Countries have contributed or pledged tens of millions of dollars in the first few days after the disaster.

The United States provided an initial $15 million mostly channeled through the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, plus logistical support for aid efforts. On Tuesday, the U.S. Agency for International Development added $20 million for the earthquake relief, a White House spokesman said.

U.N. Official Slams US, Say's We Are Stingy!@#$#@!

U.N. official slams U.S. as 'stingy' over aid

By Bill Sammon
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The Bush administration yesterday pledged $15 million to Asian nations hit by a tsunami that has killed more than 22,500 people, although the United Nations' humanitarian-aid chief called the donation "stingy."
"The United States, at the president's direction, will be a leading partner in one of the most significant relief, rescue and recovery challenges that the world has ever known," said White House deputy press secretary Trent Duffy.
But U.N. Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Jan Egeland suggested that the United States and other Western nations were being "stingy" with relief funds, saying there would be more available if taxes were raised.

"It is beyond me why are we so stingy, really," the Norwegian-born U.N. official told reporters. "Christmastime should remind many Western countries at least, [of] how rich we have become."
"There are several donors who are less generous than before in a growing world economy," he said, adding that politicians in the United States and Europe "believe that they are really burdening the taxpayers too much, and the taxpayers want to give less. It's not true. They want to give more."
In response to Mr. Egeland's comments, Mr. Duffy pointed out that the United States is "the largest contributor to international relief and aid efforts, not only through the government, but through charitable organizations. The American people are very giving."
Offers of aid have poured in from around the world in the past two days, with the European Union's executive arm releasing $4 million in emergency aid and pledging an additional $27 million. Canada and several European nations — including Spain, Germany, Ireland and Belgium — each pledged about $1 million yesterday.
Secretary of State Colin L. Powell hinted that the $15 million U.S. offer was only the first installment of a larger aid package to those countries devastated by 30-foot waves triggered by a massive underwater earthquake.
"We also have to see this not just as a one-time thing," he said. "Some 20-plus thousand lives have been lost in a few moments, but the lingering effects will be there for years.
"The damage that was caused, the rebuilding of schools and other facilities will take time," he added. "So you need a quick infusion to stabilize the situation, take care of those who have been injured, get immediate relief supplies in, and then you begin planning for the longer haul."
If that planning calls for significant food aid, the United States might have to scramble.
"Even before the crisis in the Asia-Pacific region and the Indian Ocean, the demands for food aid were stretching capacity: demands in Sudan, demands in West Africa, demands in other areas hit by drought and fighting," State Department spokesman Adam Ereli said.
"So even though we're giving a lot, the demand is very high," he added. "We're going to have to look at, as we move forward, what we can do to meet that demand."
Money and food are not the only types of aid being sent by the Bush administration. The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) also is sending a 21-member disaster-relief team to the region.
Also, the Pentagon has dispatched military patrol planes from the Pacific Fleet. President Bush has written letters of condolence to seven of the affected nations — Bangladesh, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, the Maldives and Malaysia.
Besides the United States, the largest single national donor was neighboring Australia, which offered $10 million and transportation aid.
"Australia will and should give more," Prime Minister John Howard said.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies made an initial appeal of $6.7 million, which the federation says it will probably increase.
Officials from relief agencies, including the Red Cross and other nongovernmental organizations, met yesterday in Geneva to coordinate their efforts. In New York, diplomats from six of the affected nations met with U.N. officials.
The United Nations and other aid organizations have deployed hundreds of disaster-recovery and humanitarian-response teams to the region, and officials warn that the cost of the disaster could quickly reach "many billions of dollars."
"We may only know the full effect of this emergency weeks from now," Mr. Egeland told reporters yesterday at the United Nations in New York. "The disaster affecting Southeast Asia is not the biggest in recorded history, but the effects could be the biggest because more people live in exposed areas than ever before."
The tsunami-ravaged nations are particularly susceptible to epidemics as authorities struggle with thousands of corpses in unsanitary conditions. International organizations and nations including France, Japan, Israel, Kuwait, Hungary and others are sending medical personnel to some or all of the affected countries.
"The principal danger is that of diseases transmitted through water, especially malaria and diarrhea, and infections caught through respiration," said Hakan Sandbladh, a Red Cross official in Geneva.
Groups such as Doctors Without Borders warned that catastrophes tend to help localized illnesses turn into full-blown epidemics.
The destruction of water and sewage pipes, the disruption of vaccination programs and the lack of attention to disease-carrying pests such as rats and mosquitoes exacerbated the risk, they said.
In this situation, the stagnant pools of water created by the tsunami could boost the numbers of mosquitoes and other insects that transmit tropical maladies such as malaria and dengue fever.
"The risk of epidemics is also linked to concentrations of people whose houses have been destroyed," said Pauline Horrill of Doctors Without Borders.
Meanwhile, Agence France-Presse reported that a tsunami alert system in Hawaii that warns Pacific countries about devastating tidal waves detected the earthquake that led to the destruction across Indian Ocean nations.
But the absence of an alert system in Asia meant the information could not be sent out fast enough.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, established in 1949 after a huge wave killed more than 150 people in Hawaii, issued a bulletin at 3:14 p.m. local time or 8:14 a.m. in the affected area, when it detected an earthquake off Indonesia.
The NOAA's information bulletin said there was a possibility of a tsunami near the earthquake's epicenter, but that no destructive threat existed in the Pacific. The huge tidal waves instead swept across the Indian Ocean, killing people in 10 countries from Indonesia to Somalia.
• Betsy Pisik, reporting from the United Nations in New York, contributed to this article, which is based in part on wire service reports.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let me get this right, The United Nations is saying we need to raise our taxes so we can help out more in the disaster relief for the people affected by the Tsunami when we have already sent the USS Lincoln, countless cargo planes filled with disaster relief supplies, food, medicine, etc. JUST WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE? The UN has a hell of alot of nerve to tell us how to run OUR COUNTRY so we can help with every disaster known to man!!! Hey, UN, Take some of that "Oil For Food Program" money you skimmed off us for years and apply that to the relief effort that might help some you Morons! I cant believe you people still occupy real estate in New York considering you are the most worthless waste of it I have ever seen.
How about all the other countries in the WORLD? The European Union that consists of how many countries? Pitched in all together 5 or 7 million more than the little ol United States? GET REAL!!! You at the United Nations need to get off YOUR duff's and help out. You guy's arent doing anything constructive right now, you should be gathering troops, and relief efforts from other countries to help those poor people affected, because by God you sure arent helping us do sh..t!!!

And to top it off, Israel is sending help and the Sri Lankan government said NO!!!
If help is offered, take it. Humanitarian assistance comes before any of your reasons why you dont like Israel, dont be Moron's!!!
Unreal!!!

Massive Help Needed

God Bless the Souls that were lost by the Tsunami over the weekend. As usual the United Nations is looking at America for help, which we will of course, because we always do help in humanitarian situations. But where are they? Actually what causes do they have going on right now besides taking up real estate in New York City?
Are they going to mobilize any relief efforts? How about some of these other countries? I bet we are the first and the largest suppliers of humanitarian aid in this one. Of course we will be, we always are. I just hope the United Nations gets off thier duff's and does SOMETHING!!!! A bit of help in Iraq wouldnt hurt either since they did pass all those resolutions and all.

What Has Happened To The Americans That Refuse To Take Any Crap From These Terrorist Freaks

I'm not sure I have ever mentioned this but I have family in the Military, and have had Generation's of them In the Military probably like alot of you. That is basicaly why I am so critical of the Nay Sayers about Rumsfeld, our President, and most of his Cabinet.
I have a question for you.
Where is your RESOLVE? We used to be a Country of people who used to say when any bad things happened to us: "Oh they are going to pay for that s...t"!!
Well we did say that after 9-11, we said that after Pearl Harbor, and every terrorist attack we have ever had.
Where has it gone? Does anyone remember President Bush saying: "There will be hell to pay for attacking America"?
We see all the bad stuff coming out of almost every news channel now, and very little good news. The good news is getting pushed back by the bad news. President Bush said we should expect attacks before the Iraqi elections and as we have seen in recent days its happening. They may even get worse. But Americans MUST keep our Resolve. If we dont, and we pull out, the Terrorists win.
If Americans lose thier Resolve, and lose faith in our Government and Military, the Terrorists win.
Dont think the Terrorists dont know this, because they have access to our Television and they do know, and they step up thier attacks more, knowing they are weakening alot of America's Resolve.
I know its depressing when we see our Soldiers killed, but would they want this from us? Hell NO! They would want us to get up and say, we will win this war and teach these terrorist assholes a lesson they will never forget.
We are in a different kind of a War now, we are up against Moron's that want 1 thing and 1 thing only, they WANT US ALL DEAD! There is NO bargaining with these people, they dont care, they just want us dead.
The Military knows this. They understand that if we DONT take care of these lunatics NOW, we will have an endless bombardment of terrorist attacks HERE! They have known for a Long time the central front in the War on terror is in Iraq. And dont think for one minute they werent expecting this. The more Terrorist's come out, the more they get killed. And if thier ultimate goal is to meet Allah, our Military will Oblige them!
It gets hard, but I for one am keeping my Resolve. I back our Military 1000%. And I am going to do what our fallen Soldiers would want, for me to root our Military on to kill that Terrorist ass! Our Military will not fail, they will prevail, and God Bless every Soldier that has lost his/her life protecting OURS! And Bless every troop in persuit of Peace through Superior Firepower.
My RESOLVE is FIRM! I have every confidence our Military will put an end to this sh....t!!! I urge all American's to not jump on the "Lets pull out of there now bandwagon". And get that mindset back you used to have where you wanted our Military to win. Dont give the Terrorists the upper hand in this.
God Bless our Fallen, God Bless Our Troops, and God Bless The United States Of America!!!

Impeach Charlie Rangel

Rangel Introduces 'Impeach Rumsfeld' Legislation

Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., announced on Sunday that he's introducing legislation to impeach Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

"I put in a bill for his resignation. It's shameful," Rangel told NBC's "News Forum" in New York. "Not only for his resignation, for his impeachment as well, because he would allow us to believe that he was shocked and he did not know exactly what we would be faced with [in Iraq]."

Rangel blamed Rumsfeld and Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz for "advising the president to get rid of Saddam Hussein."
"It's embarrassing," he complained. "Here we are, the greatest nation in the world, the most powerful political military force in the world with a Third World nation with no army and we can't be prepared when we're putting our troops in harm's way?"

Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution states: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

The Harlem Democrat did not specify the nature of Rumsfeld's alleged criminal conduct.

Kofi Annan Pledges Full Cooperation In Oil For Food-We Will See

U.N. Leader Kofi Annan Pledges Full Cooperation in Probe of Alleged Abuse of Oil-For-Food Program

Secretary of State Colin Powell speaks to the media with U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan after the two met at the State Department in Washington, Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004

WASHINGTON -- U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan pledged full cooperation Thursday with investigations into alleged abuses in a U.N. oil and aid program that have led Republicans in Congress to demand his resignation. He said U.N. employees can be fired if they do not comply.

"We must get to the bottom of these allegations," Annan said.

An independent inquiry headed by former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker is "the most far-reaching in the history of the United Nations," Annan said in a speech to the private Council on Foreign Relations.

"All U.N. staff have been instructed to cooperate or face disciplinary measures, including dismissal," he said.

Earlier Thursday, Annan said the United Nations could beef up its preparations for the Iraqi elections scheduled for next month, but stopped short of a specific promise to do so. The Bush administration has been pushing Annan to do more, and Secretary of State Colin Powell gave understated praise for U.N. preparations so far.

"The U.N. effort seems to be on track in support of the Iraqi effort" to hold nationwide elections on Jan. 30, Powell said after a State Department meeting with Annan.

Iraqis themselves "have the principal responsibility," Powell said.

Powell noted that the U.N. is taking the first steps to expand its presence in Iraq outside Baghdad to the cities of Basra and Irbil and has increased the number of election experts it will deploy in Iraq.

The United States is unlikely to be satisfied with the current commitment of 25 election monitors, but Powell did not say whether he has asked for a particular number of U.N. elections workers.

"We have enough people in there to do the work," Annan said, as he stood with Powell. "And if need be, we'll put in the staff we need to get the work done. It's not a question of numbers; it's a question of what you need to get the job done."

Then Annan asked himself a question.

"Are we doing the job? Yes, we are doing the job," he said.

The meeting with Powell was probably Annan's last before Powell leaves the job next year. White House national security adviser Condoleezza Rice is Bush's choice to replace Powell, and Annan also met with her Thursday.

Annan will not see Bush.

"I don't feel snubbed," Annan said.

"The president and I have met on many occasions, and we also do talk on the phone. And so I don't feel that if I come to Washington and we don't get the chance to meet, I should feel offended or snubbed. This is the nature of things."

Annan pulled all U.N. international staff out of Iraq in October 2003, after two bombings at U.N. headquarters in Baghdad and a spate of attacks on humanitarian workers. The first bombing, on Aug. 19, 2003, killed the top U.N. envoy, Serge Vienna de Melee, and 21 others.

In August, the secretary-general allowed a small U.N. contingent to return to Baghdad and imposed a ceiling of 35 international staffers. The upper limit was recently raised to 59 and a U.S. spokesman said Wednesday the number of staffers currently in Iraq is "in that neighborhood."

Bush sidestepped reporters' questions earlier this month about whether Annan should resign because of allegations of fraud and corruption in the oil-for-food program, saying he was awaiting results of investigations of the program, but U.S. Ambassador John Danforth later said Annan has the Bush's administration's support.

"We are not suggesting or pushing for the resignation of the secretary-general," Danforth said. "We have worked well with him in the past and look forward to working with him for some time in the future."

The oil-for-food program allowed Saddam Hussein's government to sell oil and use the revenue to buy food, medicine and other necessities. Investigations have found that Saddam skimmed billions of dollars from the program using bribes and kickbacks, some involving top U.N. and foreign government officials.

Annan's son Kojo also worked for a company that had a contract in the oil-for-food program and received payments for years after his employment ended. He worked for the company in Africa, not Iraq.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now President Bush you know I Love you but this is where you and I will disagree STRONGLY!!!
Either make Kofi Annon and the United Nations (If they want to save any face at all) Get involved with Military and Funding for Iraq, or kick them out of this Country, I DONT WANT TO PAY FOR THEM ANYMORE!!!! They are helping in a war where no one attacked us in Kosovo, and several other places throughout the world and had no ties to terrorists, they can help in a war THEY CLAIMED was unnecessary yet voted for. After finding out how much money they have bilked from us, and tried to keep us from defending ourselves, or getting rid of another terrorist haven, bribes, kickbacks, either they get involved, or they GO because they will be considered Redundant.

Terayyyyyza Calls Kerry An Idiot

Teresa Heinz: My Job to Call Kerry 'Idiot'

Did billionaire ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz Kerry just call her failed presidential candidate-husband an "idiot"?

We'll let you decide.

In quotes picked up today by the New York Post's Cindy Adams, the tart-tongued almost-first lady proclaimed:

"The job of a political spouse is to say, 'Hey, idiot. ...' It enables the partner to remind the person of who they are - or were - and of the sudden discrepancies of that person's inner core."

Teresa then added, "You have to be able to say to them, 'You didn't used to think like that.'"

Well, at least she didn't call Kerry a "scumbag," a term Heinz used during the campaign to deride her critics.

Before You Liberals Go Overboard

The Soldier Ouestioning Donald Rumsfeld

That is the way things are done in the Military especialy if you dont believe your chain of comand has passed your concerns up the chain. So when you have "The Secretary Of Defense" there in your face, and a few cameras too I might add knowing he was going to be on them, you tell the Secretary, but that's a good thing. You pass on your concern to the Secretary. There is nothing wrong with that.
So naturally Rumsfeld had to take the blame again. I honestly do not know why he wanted this job again, all he does is get called "Incompetant" by people like Nancy Pelosi. She and other Liberals seem to forget Rumsfeld was pulling injured people out of the Pentagon on 9-11. What were they doing? He waged an outstanding victory in Afghanistan, he is a hero.
And compared to WW2, Korea, and Viet Nam, Iraq is NOT EVEN doing bad. A few pockets left of resistance is all the news will tell you about and make it appear Iraq is going to hell in a henbaket. All we hear is bad crap from Iraq that's why I started that other page "Why I Serve", that's all about the good things coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Rummy takes the blame when a few soldiers had to play naughty with some Iraqi prisoners, EVERY single time he has to go to the Congress and Senate and asks for more money he catches hell, and even if this Armor issue isnt Rummy's fault he will take the blame anyway.
No this isnt the first time nor the last time the Secretary needs to know about the Soldiers concerns, but it is the first time it has been on camera and broadcast across Nation wide News.
I do recall a certain Senator from MA that voted against the 87 million dollar bill to fund the troops and give them what they needed then I think his name was John F. Kennedy oops I mean Kerry.
President Bush has asked Rummy to stay out of the Political side of things, that's why Rummy wont give anyone a political answer.
Maybe if these lawmakers will quit holding these bills up in congress our Soldiers will have what they need when they need it.
I cant wait till the 109th Congress and Senate are sworn in!!!!!
I bet you my bottom dollar that the Liberals are going to blow this whole thing out of proportion and try and run our Secretary of Defense out on a rail.
When they do start we need to start e-mailing our Congress, Senate, and Representatives. Because the Liberals are going to go on a rampage!!
Even if its congresses fault the Soldiers dont have what they need, they are going to blame Bush and Rummy, and just watch this. They think they have grabbed them a bone and are going to be chewing on it like a rawhide!!!!!

An Oldie But A Goodie

For those of you who have lived in Texas, you know how true this is. They actually have a Chili Cook-off about the time Halloween comes around. It takes up a major portion of a parking lot at the San Antonio City park.

The notes are from an inexperienced Chili taster named Frank, who was visiting from Springfield, IL.

Frank: "Recently, I was honored to be selected as a judge at a Chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking for directions t o the Coors Light truck, when the call came in. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy and, besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted."

Here are the scorecards from the advent: (Frank is Judge #3)

>Chili # 1 Eddie's Maniac Monster Chili....
>Judge # 1 -- A little too heavy on the tomato. Amusing kick.
>Judge # 2 -- Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild.
>Judge # 3 -- (Frank) Holy shit, what the hell is this stuff? You could
>remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.
>
>Chili # 2 Austin's Afterburner Chili...
>Judge # 1 -- Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang.
>Judge # 2 -- Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.
>Judge # 3 -- Keep this out of the reach of children. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who Wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face.
>
>Chili # 3 Ronny's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili...
>Judge # 1 -- Excellent firehouse chili. Great kick. Needs more beans.
>Judge # 2 -- A bean less chili, a bit salty, good use of peppers.
>Judge # 3 -- Call the EPA. I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now. Get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the
>back, now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting shit-faced from all of the beer...
>
>Chili # 4 Dave's Black Magic...
>Judge # 1 -- Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
>Judge # 2 -- Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.
>Judge # 3 -- I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Is it possible to burn out taste buds? Sally, the barmaid, was standing behind me with fresh refills. That 300-lb. woman is starting to look HOT...just like this nuclear waste I'm eating! Is chili an aphrodisiac?
>
>Chili # 5 Lisa's Legal Lip Remover...
>Judge # 1 -- Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
>Judge # 2 -- Chili using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
>Judge # 3 -- My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from the pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off. It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Screw those rednecks.
>
>Chili # 6 Pam's Very Vegetarian Variety...
>Judge # 1 -- Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spices and peppers.
>Judge # 2 -- The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic.Superb.
>Judge # 3 -- My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. I shit on myself when I farted and I'm worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that Sally. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my ass with a snow cone.
>
>Chili # 7 Carla's Screaming Sensation Chili...
>Judge # 1 -- A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
>Judge # 2 -- Ho hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. **I should take note that I am worried about Judge # 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably.
>Judge # 3 -- You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a thing. I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili,
>which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava to match my shirt. At least during the autopsy, they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing it's too painful. Screw it; I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch hole in my stomach.
>
>Chili # 8 Karen's Toenail Curling Chili...
>Judge # 1 -- The perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili. Not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.
>Judge # 2 -- This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge #3 farted, passed out, fell over and pulled the chili pot down on top of himself. Not sure if he's going to make it. Poor feller, wonder how he'd have reacted to really hot chili?

Dan Rivers has released The W Ketchup Song to celebrate George W. Bush's re-election as President of the United States. Dan was impressed with the concept of W Ketchup(TM), and especially with the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, which receives a portion of every bottle of W sold. The knowledge that the founders of W Ketchup give to the children of our fallen heroes is what motivated him to write The W Ketchup Song.

Dan Rivers is also releasing One Flag, One Heart, One Nation, a song he wrote in tribute to the U.S. Marines in Iraq. Dan served in the U.S.M.C. for ten years and understands the sacrifices they make for our country.

Both The W Ketchup Song and One Flag, One Heart, One Nation are available for free download at the W Ketchup website.

Enough Is Enough

Whose B-Day are we celebrating in THIS Country December 25? Is it not the birth of Christ? What happened to the Christmas Carole'rs? Why is it when you call a store, you get "Happy Holiday's" instead of "Merry Christmas", thank's for calling blah blah blah? And when you specificaly say "Can I have the Christmas department", they say, "I will transfer you over to our "Holiday" dept.? And why is it there is not a "Merry Christmas" sign to be had in a town that is suppose to be in the Bible Belt? Not one. We have done this to ourselves people. We have let the Lunatic Left get away with murder. And the ACLU has a big part to play in this. We have let these finatics take away our Freedom of Religion on which this Country was founded and based on. Now I know some of you Lunes are going to say "But it doesnt say this and that in our Constitution", but it does. This Country was founded on the belief in God no matter what religion you are, most just happen to be Christian. The pinheads have attacked the Boy Scouts, taken away the 10 comandments from a Court in Alabama, which I guess if you drag the seperation of church and state into it, I suppose they have a point. They want to take "In God We Trust" off money. But they dont mind spending that currency. They wont let you say the Pledge of Alligiance anymore. They wont let teachers hang a picture of the President of The United States in classrooms. Yet they will show a Michael Moron movie in them. They dont want an oath taken for an elected office to have "So help me God" in it. And on and on and On, I'm sure I have missed hundreds of instances here.
We have to do something about this NOW!!!! Or there wont be any more Christmas!!!
Before you know it they will make Christmas illegal.
I dont know what kind of movements are already out there, but if anyone does know, please give me some references. I will definately join. I am fed up with this crap and I am not going to take it anymore.
I have a good mind to make my own HUGE signs saying "Happy Quanza", "Happy Hanukkah", and Most deffinately "Merry Christmas" and plant them out in my front yard and call the ACLU on myself and dare them to take them away!!!!
I would appreciate any feedback on groups or organizations that want to take back AMERICA and our Freedom of Religion, especialy at Christmas time.
AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS,MERRY CHRISTMAS

Bosnian War Comes To An End

By Jim Garamone
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Dec. 2, 2004 – The stabilization mission in
Bosnia is complete and
American servicemembers who served in the region can look
with pride on their
accomplishments, said DoD officials today.

European Union soldiers officially take over the Bosnia
mission today. U.S.
soldiers and their NATO allies have finished an almost
nine-year mission in the
Balkan country.

Nathan Bein, DoD's country director for Bosnia-Herzegovina,
said the NATO force
had accomplished all of its missions. The force, which
started with 60,000
soldiers, was to separate the warring factions, disarm
them, place heavy
weapons in cantonment facilities and to set up
demilitarized zones between the
parties.

In December 1995, the force went in to end the civil war
between the Bosnian
Serbs and Croat/Muslim federation. The Dayton Agreement
created a joint
multiethnic and democratic government. But there were two
entities roughly
equal in size: the Bosniak/Croat Federation of Bosnia and
Herzegovina and the
Bosnian Serb-led Republika Srpska.

The first NATO force into the country confronted a
destroyed infrastructure and
a refugee crisis. Areas of the country had been pounded by
war and many areas
contained ghost towns.

NATO forces arrived ready to enforce a peace if need be or
to simply separate
the forces. The opposing sides were tired of war, and
except for some local
problems, both sides cooperated with the NATO force. An
American general
commanded the NATO force, with the allies having different
sections. The U.S.
section was centered in Tuzla.

The area around Tuzla is primarily agricultural and
contains both Federation
and Republika Srpska territory. American soldiers
immediately set about making
life better for the residents.

Today, the area around Tuzla is peaceful. While there
remain some local
problems, "they are past the stage of wanting to kill each
other," Bein said.

What is key to the process is that there are jobs for
people and there is
stability. "They can hope for a better life for themselves
and their children,"
Bein said.

And it is like that throughout the country. The Republika
Srpska is a bit
behind the Federation as far as recovery goes, but the
improvement even there
is startling. "In Sarajevo, it is starting to look much
like the rest of
Western Europe now," he said.

The street lights work, there are hotels and grocery stores
and gas stations,
just like anywhere else. "It's not Nirvana, but the
contrast of what's there
now and what was there in [1995 and 1996] is like night and
day," Bein said.

It was in Bosnia also that the U.S. reserve components
showed their worth.
Military civil affairs professionals – mostly reservists –
handled delicate
negotiations among warring parties. Combat service and
combat-service support
units deployed to the country and worked in the mud to
ensure operations ran
smoothly.

As the mission went on, National Guard units – notably the
49th Armored Division
of the Texas Guard and the 29th Infantry Division of the
Virginia/Maryland Guard
– took over major portions of the mission in the country.
The 49th had the first
Guard brigade to serve in country, while the 29th was the
first Guard unit to
command the entire American sector. The 28th and 35th
Infantry divisions and the
38th Infantry Brigade were among other Guard units that
served as part of Task
Force Eagle.

The end of the NATO mission does not mean the end of U.S.
interest and concern
in Bosnia, Bein said. NATO will maintain a small
headquarters unit in Sarajevo.
Its three missions are to assist the unified Bosnian
government in defense
reform as it prepares to enter NATO's Partnership for Peace
program. The
headquarters will also continue to pursue and apprehend
remaining war criminals
and, finally, the headquarters will work on
counterterrorism programs to ensure
terrorists do not find a foothold in the country.

Bosnia has also asked the United States to maintain a
presence at the Tuzla
base. The base will be maintained and ready to expand if
needed. All told,
there will be about 150 U.S. servicemembers in Bosnia.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A well deserved Congradulations, and a job well done Soldiers!!!!

I would like to know however, where were the anti-war protestors when Clinton sent us there?

Operation Dear Abby Hits The Internet

By Gerry J. Gilmore
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Dec. 2, 2004 -- In 1967 a servicemember wrote
advice columnist
"Dear Abby" requesting "just a letter from home" for
deployed troops serving
during the Vietnam War.

The famous columnist, known by her pseudonym Abigail Van
Buren, responded, and
the "Operation Dear Abby" mail program was born. Through
the ensuing years,
hundreds of thousands of U.S. servicemembers received
letters of support from
Dear Abby readers during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and
New Year holiday
seasons.

Shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the
United States, the
Defense Department shut down Operation Dear Abby due to
concerns of potential
anthrax attacks through regular postal mail.

In November 2001, Dear Abby and the U.S. Navy teamed up to
resurrect the
letter-writing operation using e-mail as the conduit, noted
Bill Hendrix,
director of the Navy's Lifelines quality-of-life program.

Hendrix said the Internet-enabled Operation Dear Abby
system experienced 22
million hits during its first month of operation. "We like
to say that was just
an outpouring of the (U.S.) population to thank the troops
for what they were
doing," Hendrix remarked.

"It was just an overwhelming surge" of support, he said.

Today, Jeanne Phillips, the daughter of Dear Abby founder
Pauline Phillips,
writes the advice column, which reaches more than 100
million readers.

And with U.S. troops deployed worldwide in support of the
global war against
terrorism, Operation Dear Abby's messages of support are as
important as ever,
Hendrix said. The Navy-run operation supports all the
services.

According to the operation's Web site, the general public
can send messages to
servicemembers. Servicemembers, in turn, with Internet
access can read those
messages. Troops without Internet access can still read
them by having others,
such as their commanders, download and distribute messages.

Hendrix said the e-mail servers "start to buzz" each time
Operation Dear Abby
is discussed in the Dear Abby column. "It goes right up to
the 3- to 4-million-
hit range every time she does it," he said.

Operation Beanie Baby

By Donna Miles
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2004 — Fourteen-year-old Alison Goulder
got personal thanks
at the Pentagon today from Deputy Defense Secretary Paul
Wolfowitz and Air
Force Gen. Richard B. Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs
of Staff, for
supporting U.S. troops in Iraq through a grassroots-level
campaign collecting
Beanie Baby dolls.

The Pentagon leaders praised the Scottsdale, Ariz.,
eighth-grader for
commitment and perseverance that led to the collection of
28,000 of the stuffed
critters for deployed troops to hand out to Iraqi and
Afghan children.

Goulder said she read in a magazine about Operation
Grateful, an effort by law
firm Greenberg Traurig to send care packages to troops in
Iraq, Afghanistan and
Germany. The magazine quoted Joe Reeder, former
undersecretary of the Army and
now a partner with Greenberg Traurig, as saying Beanie
Babies were the top item
on the troops' wish list.

Goulder, who started collecting the stuffed critters when
she was 7 years old,
saw the article as a call to action. "I thought it was
great, something that I
could do to show support for the troops," she said.

She and her sister Jenna, 11, and brother Greg, 10, scoured
through their
closets and found about 80 Beanie Babies.

But the effort didn't stop there. Goulder challenged other
family members and
friends to donate their Beanie Babies to the cause. She
hung fliers up around
her school, Rancho Solano, urging her classmates to pitch
in. She helped
sponsor a school dance in October, with the price of
admission: one Beanie
Baby.

"The effort kind of snowballed," she said. "My original
goal was 1,000 Beanie
Babies, but we met that the first day." Soon 600 to 800
Beanie Babies being
arriving at the school every day.

So far, the effort has raised 28,000 Beanie Babies, more
than 15,000 of which
have already been shipped to Iraq. Goulder said she's not
finished. "As long as
people keep bringing them in, I'll keep collecting them,"
she said.

Goulder's parents say they aren't surprised by their
daughter's enterprise.
"We've always tried to encourage contributing to the
community," they said
during their visit to the Pentagon today. "And she's always
been very goal-
oriented."

Myers thanked Goulder for her "initiative and
stick-to-it-ness" and told her
the contribution means "more than you will ever know" to
U.S. troops in Iraq
and Iraqi children.

"This is terrific. It's exactly the right thing to do,"
Myers said. "Thank you
for persevering."

Goulder said she's received "heartfelt notes" from people
who have donated
their Beanie Baby collections for the cause, and said she
took special pride in
seeing a magazine cover that depicted a soldier giving a
Beanie Baby to a
smiling Iraqi child.

"They don't have a lot to hold on to," she said. "Hopefully
this will make a
difference, at least for a few days."

Reeder called the effort "a part of winning the hearts and
minds" of the Iraqi
people. "If you send 28,000 Beanie Babies, that's creating
28,000 smiles," he
said.

Greenberg Traurig's 22 offices nationwide have sent more
than 3,000 care
packages to Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany, Reeder said. In
addition to Beanie
Babies, the shipments include food and snack items, cameras
and cosmetics
donated by the Estee Lauder Companies.

The initiative is an example of grassroots support for
deployed troops being
recognized in the Defense Department's "America Supports
You" campaign. The
program showcases America's support for the men and women
of the armed forces
and the myriad ways the country is expressing that support.

Awww Now This Ought To Be Cute

By Sgt. 1st Class Doug Sample, USA
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Dec. 4, 2004 -- Weekly Reader magazine wants to
know what its
readers would say to the world on Jan. 20, the date
President Bush takes the
oath of office and gives his second inaugural address.

The school-based educational and news magazine posed that
question to its 7
million or more readers for its latest essay contest,
titled "My Inaugural
Address."

Mia Toschi, Weekly Reader editor, said the magazine wants
its readers to voice
their opinion on what they would do if they were in the
president's shoes and
what would they do for the country.

Though she said the contest's aim is to get students to
"read, write and do
research -- that's the ultimate goal of Weekly Reader," she
said she also is
hopeful the essays generate opinions on what students, much
like the president,
feel are important issues affecting the country.

Judging by what she's read so far, Toschi said, concern for
the Middle East is
on most of the students' agendas.

"Some of the essays from the kids really talk about helping
the children in
Iraq and Afghanistan, so there is an awareness about the
problems of the Middle
East, even with the younger students," she said.

She pointed out that students also voiced concern for
helping homeless children
here in United States.

Toschi said the essay contest, which was announced last
week, will wrap up the
magazine's yearlong campaign to teach students about the
election process.

She said the campaign began in January with students
learning about state
caucuses and primaries, and then on to the presidential
debates -- the magazine
sent its own student news correspondents to cover the
event.

The magazine even held its own presidential vote among
readers, correctly
picking Bush as the next president. The magazine has picked
the correct
presidential winner every year since 1956.

She said the fact that Weekly Reader has picked correctly
for so many years is
somewhat of a phenomenon. "We're kind of like the experts,"
she said.

Meanwhile, Toschi said, the words voiced in the winning
essays could possibly
get the president's ear. She plans to send them to the
White House.

"We're not sure if they will get read, but we will surely
send them so that the
president will have an idea of what students want" she
said.

Hmmm Maybe the next Presidential Election I will look to weekly reader for my pollster.
They seem to be better than all the polls.

Michael Moore Discovers He Is An Idiot!!!!!!!

Michael Moore: 'Bush Got More Votes'

Democrat conspiracy mongers currently pushing for a recount in Ohio in hopes of overturning the presidential election got no help last night from conspiracy monger-in-chief, Michael Moore, who told "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno that President Bush won the contest fair and square.

Asked why Democratic hopes went up in smoke on Election Day, Moore said simply, "I think Bush got more votes."

"The Republicans - I'll give them this - they had a story to tell," the Bush-bashing filmmaker conceded. "The Democrats, oftentimes, aren't very good at telling a story."
Moore explained:

"And the [Bush] story was: Out of the ashes of September 11 rose one man. And he stood on the rubble of lower Manhattan with a bullhorn and he said, 'I will protect you.'

"And he did," Moore added, as the audience began to applaud. "And we were never attacked again."

Dressed in a business suit and clean-shaven for the first time in years, Moore couldn't resist inserting the caveat: "That has nothing to do with whether we will be attacked again."

Still, his advice to disgruntled Dems had nothing to do with recounts or stolen elections or voter disenfranchisement.

"[Bush's victory] was just a couple of percentage points," the chastened-sounding movieman said. "People who voted for Kerry shouldn't be depressed at this point. They should pick themselves up. ... There's another game in four years. And we'll come back and do the best we can."

Kick Out Kofi, But If He Wont Go ????

I think most folks agree Kofi Annon's time as head of the UN has ended. He has been proven the most useless leader of all time. Has taken kickbacks, bribes, and is caught up in the biggest scandal ever to hit the United Nations crippling them and destroying thier credability. He wont produce any documents proving he DIDNT take any kickbacks, and first said his son had nothing to do with the Oil For Food Scandal, and now says he didnt know his son was involved.
Senator Coleman called for Kofi to resign today. I hope the rest of the Senate will as well. But what if he choses not to go? He still has 2 years left of his term. Sanctions sound good. Sanctions? Against the UN?
This is getting interesting.
Is there a way to force him out?
I think not only does Kofi need to be kicked to the curb, but the UN needs a new home. After all this Oil For Food Mess, and Kofi, his son, Chirac, I am embarrassed to have them here.
And this is the same group that Kerry wanted to monitor OUR elections?
