The President of Afghanistan
Congradulations Hamid Karzai. What a Historical day for you also. And one of our brightest crowning acheivements. If Democracy can take hold there, it can take hold anywhere. All we have to do is be patient and have resolve.
I look at this whole thing now and say to myself, we havent alienated ourselves from a few of our Allies, they have alienated themselves from us. And we havent lost any, we have gained NEW ones. And I for one am damn proud to call Afghanistan and Iraq our allies!!!!

I think it was competely awesome, even by donkeyback they got the ballot out. One heck of a get out the vote campaign. Blithered is right, Karzai has never been part of any terrorist organization. And I dont think there has been one country we have liberated where we havent left at least a skeleton crew base. We certainly will be watching.
