Bush to undergo 'routine' colonoscopy
VICE PRESIDENT DICK CHENEY TO BE SWORN IN AS 'PRESIDENT'
US President George W. Bush will undergo a "routine colonoscopy" at the Camp David retreat on Saturday, temporarily ceding his powers to Vice President Dick Cheney, the White House said Friday.
Cheney will serve as acting president until such time as Bush, who will be under anesthesia, says he is ready to resume his duties, presidential spokesman Tony Snow told reporters.
"The president has had no symptoms" of cancer, said Snow, who noted that Bush had been scheduled for such an examination since undergoing a colonoscopy in June 2002.

I wonder how many people we can Liberate in a few hours. Will Cheney bomb Iran? Oh the thought's that come to mind! Will Cheney go in a vicious rampage and sock it to all the "Axis of Evil Countries" at once? Will the Democrat's go on a rampage? They have already lost thier minds, how much further can they go?

"Liberating" countries is actually a liberal policy. The American government first started trying to "make the world safe for democracy" under a liberal president named Woodrow Wilson. Conservatives have historically been AGAINST nation building and liberating other countries.
Plus, we can't afford the wars we're fighting right now, much less another one.

Technically true, but quite outdated. The advent of the ICBM and atomic weapons changed the calculus greatly. No longer could one country sit back in isolation and refuse to get involved in the business of the world. Reagan proved that. Yes, he bugged out of Lebanon but look what that got us in the long term. And would you rather have had him disengage from the Cold War?
That's the main problem I have with Ron Paul. America cannot sit back, build a wall, and pretend everyone doesn't exist like he wants. 9/11 should have taught us that lesson and it has nothing to do with our policies abroad, anymore than our policies abroad caused the Barbary Pirates to attack our ships in the 1800s.
America seems to have two choices. Try, like Reagan and Bush, to press for democracy through the world or disengage totally and sit back and wait for the inevitable, which includes a crippled economy.
