Democrat's Force All Night Bash Bush Fest On Iraq

Well here we go again. These Nutball Democrats cant even wait until September For General Patreaus Report, they have to push the "War Is Lost" Propaganda machine all night long AT OUR EXPENSE! We have already seen encouraging signs that the Troop Surge is working and it's only been a few weeks, but these Democrats have lost thier minds. That is the only conclusion I can come up with, they are so far gone, so far left, so invested in defeat they are gone to us forever. Out to lunch, Gone. And they are being ORDERED to Bash Bush all night long on TV. Way to go Democrat's! Hand Al-Queada more victories, they are watching you, you know, suck up to the enemy!. And destroy the Troops morale so your invest in Defeat can be complete! The Democrats have NO plan for the National Security of THIS Country at all. This Congress is a sad joke. And here's proof:

Democrats Ordered To Bash Bush On TV

Leaders are instructing Democratic lawmakers to blitz their states with anti-Bush messages as the Senate gears up for an all-night debate on Iraq withdrawal, according to an internal memo provided to The Politico by a Democratic official.

“We need every Senator’s help throughout the next two days to amplify our message and highlight Republican obstructionism,” says the memo from the Senate Democratic Communications Center, part of the office of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.). “This is a caucus-wide effort and your help is needed.”

A companion memo for Senate Republicans accuses Democrats of pulling a “stunt” – a word you can count on hearing as a mantra from the GOP. Watch to see if White House Press Secretary Tony Snow uses it.

After the Senate session starts this morning, it is not scheduled to adjourn until Wednesday night. CNN is already showing the cots for the round-the clock debate. The Politico’s John Bresnahan and Daniel W. Reilly have the background here.

The memo from the Senate Republican Communications Center, part of the office of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.), calls attention to the fact that the all-night session coincides with evening rallies sponsored by the liberal group MoveOn.org, which is giving supporters instructions on how to “Host a Counter-Filibuster to End the War.”

(UPDATE - MoveOn.org Political Action says in a news release this morning: “Members of MoveOn will hold more than 130 ‘counter-filibusters’ Tuesday evening in cities and districts across the country … . MoveOn members will read letters from Iraq war veterans and their families that call on Congress to bring the troops home soon.”)

In additional to the “publicity stunt” angle, Republicans will stress competence. A Senate Republican leadership aide e-mails: “We’re happy to debate all night if they want, but they’re not going to accomplish anything in the extra seven hours tonight that they haven’t accomplished in the last seven months. Lame.”

Campaigns and political parties often provide sample messages that supporters can repeat in media appearances. The Democratic memo includes this just-add-water message template for Democratic senators to propagate: “President Bush has proven beyond any doubt that he won’t listen to the Congress or the American people unless he is forced to. While some Senate Republicans might not want to change course in Iraq, it does not gives them the right to block an up or down vote on legislation supported by a majority of the Congress and the American people.”

The memo says Senate Democrats are coordinating with their House counterparts to produce an echo effect during floor speeches in the other chamber. Under a section called, “Amplifying Our Message to Force a Change Of Course in Iraq,” the memo gives this overview:

“Senate Democrats will tape TV feeds and actualities back to their home states.”

“Outside groups will hold a 'call to action' event Tuesday night to call on Republicans to end their Iraq filibuster.”

“Iraq veterans will make visits to Senate offices asking Republican Senators to allow an up or down vote on the Levin-Reed Amendment.”

“Center for American Progress will live-blog the all night session.”

“Senate Democrats will conduct interviews on national cable and radio.”

“The Steering and Outreach Committee will release a video of Iraq veterans and military families calling for a change of course in Iraq.”

I posted about this yesterday. This hole grand stand by Reid and company has become a lunatic asylum

It is a waste of time and money since it is a foregone conclusion that if it by some slim chance survives the filabuster it will be VETOED and cannot be overturned.

This is using taxpayers money for the cameras and to pander to the far left in preparartion for next years election.

It's no wonder they have a 14% approval rating.

By the way Marie, glad to see you back. You are missed when you take a break. Check out the Fred On Video I posted a couple of days ago. It's a hoot and you will get a kick out of it.

Ken,

What a sideshow wasnt it?

I have been busy emailing Senators and Congressman, and burning up the phone lines.

Hopefully I will be able to make my rounds today.
