Howard Dean Want's New Election In Florida

Why does this only happen to Democrats? Why is it if a Democrat is defeated the Outcome of the Election is ALWAY'S questioned?

Howard Dean Wants New Election in Florida

Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean called for another election in the race to replace Rep. Katherine Harris, saying the declared Republican winner should not be sworn in until election questions are sorted out.

"You cannot seat someone if you don't have an election that's valid," Dean said in a taped interview scheduled to air Sunday on a Tampa Bay area news channel. The St. Petersburg Times reported the comments in its Thursday editions.

Democrat Christine Jennings is contesting her loss to Republican Vern Buchanan and has sued for a new election. On Thursday, Jennings said she will ask the U.S. House to take the extreme measure of conducting its own investigation into the election.

State officials certified Buchanan as the winner by just 369 votes. But Jennings claims that touch-screen voting machines in Sarasota County malfunctioned in the U.S. House District 13 race and possibly cost her the election.

More than 18,000 Sarasota County voters who marked other races didn't have a vote register in the House race, a rate much higher than the rest of the district.

"There are 18,000 people who may have voted, and we don't know what happened to their votes. You can bet that if the Republicans were 500 votes short they'd be calling for a new election, and they'd be right," Dean said.

The state is conducting an audit of the Sarasota voting machines.

Meanwhile, Buchanan has moved forward as the congressman-elect, arguing that recounts confirmed him the winner and an initial testing of the machines hasn't produced any evidence they malfunctioned.

"We feel that Christine Jennings is putting her own interests above those of the 13th District," Buchanan spokeswoman Sally Tibbetts said. "It's unfortunate."

But Jennings said: "If my opponent wants to represent this district, he should . . . show concern for the voters and not the machines. We still don't know what went wrong."

The Democratic National Committee did not return a phone message left Thursday by The Associated Press.

The House plans to swear in Buchanan on Jan. 4, but could unseat him later, if it chose.

I have an idea! Why dont we just have another election altogether? After just a few weeks of this crap and I'm sure we would win!

Why Thank You Mike!

I do believe we would win also, it's only been a few weeks but I think the Republican's that sat this last election out would salivate at the chance to vote now!

George Allen was a perfect gentleman. He will be missed.

They arent going to quit whining till George Bush is hauled up before Congress standing on a chair with a nuse around his neck and Nancy Pelosi ready to kick the chair out from under his feet! And then they would STILL find something to moan about.

This is the best picture of Dean I have seen! If Dems lose they claim fraud, voter supression, stolen elections, etc. If they win they claim, hey wait a minute what's the difference in their win or loss claims other than now we have to put up with their liberal whining and legislation for the next two years. If the election were held today with after what has taken place since Nov. 7th I think the general response by voters would be, "better to be ticked at the GOP than to leave the Dems in control." Good post!

The problem for the liberals, Marie, is that they don't really believe in elections. Being smarter than everybody else, they are smart enough to realize that there are more of us than there are of them. Whenever elections to go against them, it is because of people who drive around with dead deer on the hoods of their pickup trucks coming out of their double-wides in the hills and screwing up their perfect world.
This is why they want so many elections resolved in the courts: The voters are morons and only the liberals are smart enough to run the country.

Gosh Marie, the demoduds are such tedious and small people. They can never accept loss gracefully. The were lucky to gain their very minute majority and it mostly because conservatives were fed up with their own people and the demoduds won by default. Now when they see they have lost a seat they tried so hard for they cannot stop the whining. Is it any wonder why the majority of people don't vote at all having the choice of conservatives that don't act like conservatives or demoduds that well, demoduds. We have to work on the conservatives for the next election and leave the demoduds to stew in their own juices so to speak.

Your daughter is quite the artist.
I have often thought that Howard Dean would be best in a full straight jacket and a gag over his mouth. LOL

I would imagine that she is a fine young Republican since she has a nice mother who is also a fine Republican too.

Oh man, I am in Oklahoma and right above Texas and we seriously get cars that pass through here with Bullhorn's on the Hoods of thier cars.

I can just imagine the jokes.

Especially since there seems to be such a rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, I alway's assumed it is because Texas want's the panhandle back. lol

It's actually such a college thing. Boy they take sports seriously here and in Texas oh man.

But the day I see a dead deer on someones hood on the way to church I would hope the Liquor stores are open cause that might make me have to have a shot of something lol.

But they arent open on Sunday's here so I will just have to make due with Diet Coke!

Great post and great blog, wish I'd visited sooner. It's heading straight for my blogroll, like it or not.

First, I have to agree that given a) the fact that those conservatives who sat out the election probably didn't expect the dems to do as well as they did and b) what the Dems have already shown to be a coming disaster, that if we held the elections all over again, the Dems would be consigned handily to the minority from whence they came.

Second, I think they demonstrate rather obviously that they are more concerned with their own political power than the wellbeing of our country. I mean, witness how they are willing to fight tooth and nail to achieve electoral victory for themselves, while they have absolutely no motivation to see our country achieve victory in war.

I'll have to check into it next time I'm at the hardware store, by the way, and see if there's some sort of KEvron spray, maybe from Black Flag or DeCon.

It's a laugh to think that demoduds won some kind of huge victory. There is the slimmest of majorities in both houses and conservative democrats are pretty much ready to jump ship if Mrs. Pelosi starts talking impeachment and cut and run. The demoduds have nothing but windbags to power themselves and soon that source will be depleated. I expect the demoduds will be pushed to the back and the conservatives from both parties will be thrust into power because that is really waht the people want according to the election results.

The Dems, via self delusion, are laboring under the impression that they were elected on some sort of mandate, rather thn the reality, which is that they won by default.

I tend to agree with you, i_g, that the conservative Dems they ran to mislead the voters re their actual "business as usual" agendas could indeed become a thorn in their sides once Pelosi and Reid start keeping their campaign promises to their far left supporters.

This will only serve to demonstrate, to voters, the paucity of team integrity that exists within the Democratic Party and further help ease out their majority come Nov, 2008.

I only hope that the Republicans on the Hill have learned a lesson from this past election, like the importance of listening to and more tenaciously representing their constituents.

Well fine then have it your way ! will just have to blogroll you too! lol

I agree if the Democrats would put as much energy into winning an election as they would to support our Troops we would have finished the mission in Iraq by now!

If there is such a spray the hardware store for Morons like Kevron let me know. Little varments like he need to be squashed!

I know. This should have been a huge win for the Dems, heck they should have picked up at least 50, 60 seats? And they picked up like 15, 20? Maybe? They have been losing seats also as the ballots are counted in some of the undecided races across the Country come in.

I dont even know what the tally is on this anymore. Do you JG?

I would like to know how many seats are held by both parties at the moment.

Seth,

Dont you also find that in this last election with the exception of this race in Florida that there were no cries of voter disenfranchisement by the right?
(Except by me lol)
No claims of voting machine malfuntions, none of that crap.

Yet every single time there is a close loss for the Loones on the left all of the sudden "WE NEED A NEW ELECTION"!

Why hasnt the voting Public caught on to this yet?

If we are going to have a new election in Florida by George we all deserve a new election!

I am positive the Republican's that sat this one out thinking we had it all sewn up will get off thier duff's and head to the polls IN DROVES this time, especially after what we are witnessing before the Dems are even sworn in!

Wanna Bet?

Now you made that remark about our Troops on MY Blog?

You are insane if you think I am going to sit here and let you slither your way into MY blog and tear up the troops you miserable little dipshit!

I will do the same as Seth and let that one post remain just to show the world the true meaning of the Liberal agenda but your gone! By By!

This is too much even for that idiot Kevron:

"the dems from doing all they can to get as many of our soldiers and marines (yes, i do differentiate between the two) killed as they can, just to make losing a reality, then you are sadly mistaken.

there is nothing you can do to stop us."

I realize there are people who actually do think that way, but as much of a goofball as Kevron is, I never would have thought he was that evil.

Marie: I was loathe to institute comment moderation at my page. But I can tell you that doing so is the best way to eliminate ever having your readership bothered by the likes of that moron.

I'm sorry that happened to you Marie.

I guess that these Liberals are even more obnoxious on blogs than they are watching them on the TV News.

This dude KEvron sounds even more of a nuisance then Howard Dean, and I never thought that any Liberal would get that bad.

Night,

Actually I never met Kevron till the other night, and I was going to talk to him about the way he feels because I dont believe that all Democrat's believe what he said and I really dont believe he believe's it either.

All I did was post a comment over at someone else's blog and he followed me back here.

But to go and post over 153 comment's? About the same thing and some other crap?

I am usually a nice person and try to give someone the benefit of the doubt and a chance to explain why they feel the way they do.

Oh well I wish he wouldnt have gone all goofball on me.
