God bless the men and women that fought to avenge the deaths of the sailors and soldiers that lost their lives at Pearl Harbor and defeated the forces of Imperial Japan. We must never forget the lessons that were learned from Pearl Harbor.
My Father was one of those that fought the Japanese after Pearl harbor in the US Navy. Dad was a Motor Machinst on the Amphibious Assault Ship USS Alpine. His job was to operate the engines of the landing craft that took the Marines ashore at Guam, etc... (see link below). Dad told me the worst time was when the front door of the landing craft was down unloading the grunts that all you could do was hold your breath that enemy guns wouldn't cut you all to pieces because there was no place to hide. The trips landing the Marines ashore continued until all the Marines were ashore. The USS Alpine was was hit not once but twice by Kamakaze attack planes. My Father was injured only slightly during the second attack and remained aboard until the end of the war.

I was taught about duty, honor and courage by my Father and his generation needs to saluted and honored. The men and women at Pearl Harbor were remembered and avenged by a determined people. God bless them all and Thank you all for protecting our freedom!
Alsways remember and never forget. That is how we truly honor their sacrifice!
I cant think of a better way to honor all those we have lost but to remember.
You guys are the best!!
If you guys want a blast from the past check out some of the links I have attached, they have 40's music and all kinds of neat stuff when you click on some things in there!
I'm glad you are remembering the Oklahoma.
Pearl Harbor was just the beginning of a long, painful and bloody conflict. We were ill prepared and we paid for it with the lives of thousands of our troops.

I cant believe "The Okie" doesnt have a Memorial after 65 years? Well it will soon.
Your analogy sounds eerily sililar to 9-11. Which proves we have to be correct 100% of the time and the enemy only has to be right once!
