now, if Isreal will do what they failed to do in the last one, place greater priority on the safety of their own people above the opinion of the world, they will accomplish what they need.

Welcome back from your Christmas hiatus Marie !

I agree with your well said post. Hamas is toast this time. Even Arabs neighbors are nehind the scenes urging Israel on.

Egyprt is massing troops on the Sinai to prevent Hamas from escaping to the South. The PA is all but urging Israel on and Syria is staying silent!

The only entity condemning Israel is the American left. Hmmm more than a coincidence me thinks !

Yeah, and no more Palestinian hospitals either! The Israelis bombed those, too.

The only thing scarier than Hamas are sick 8 yr old kids and dying 80 yr old women.

But I like how the U.S. is giving Israel tips on what not to do when invading and occupying a territory with innocent people. That should be interesting.

Hamas has fired close to 200 rockets in over 3 years. No technology, no direction, no precision. If they connect, it's by mere luck. I'm not saying they are right in launching rockets but when you have had your land taken from you it drives some to violence.

Israel targets civilians. Humanity at its finest.

And by the way: most Palestinians are Christians who speak Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ. There are no Christians of this type in the U.S. : that type of Christianity is too loving, forgiving and tolerant. It would never work for the NeoConned.

Griper,

I cant argue with that my friend!

Throwing Stones,

I just want to see Hamas get the beat down, the PLO is actually more Westernized then these idiots!

But it is hard to get those images out of my head also.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Angel,
I guess this is what Rumsfeld use to talk about "Lessons Learned"!
Godspeed Israel!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank's Ken,

I agree. It's time these idiot's get ousted paving the way for the UN to HAVE to get up off thier asses and put some force in there between the two to monitor the two sides.

Israel just forced the UN to go to work :-) Brilliant!

Fed,

Oh No you dont! You dont get to blame Israel this time for hospital's and schools, and Mosques bombed since we all know that's where Hamas hid thier missle launchers.

If you are so concerned about the terrorist's and innocent's getting killed then you need to have a one on one with the leaders of Hamas yourself and tell them to move thier Missile Launchers OUT of unpopulated areas!

What about all the schools and hospitals and innocent people Hamas hit's with those rocket's every single day that they fire into Israel?

(Hamas has fired close to 200 rockets in over 3 years. No technology, no direction, no precision. If they connect, it's by mere luck. I'm not saying they are right in launching rockets but when you have had your land taken from you it drives some to violence.)

NO, Hamas has fired over 6,000 milliles and Rocket's at Israel in the last 3 years NEVER abiding by the "Cease Fire Agreement"!

Hell they fired 80 alone on Christmas Day! CHRISTMAS DAY!!!!
E-I-G-H-T-Y

Tell me where is has Palestine carved out on a map! EVER?

If they want thier own state this is NO way to get it!

(And by the way: most Palestinians are Christians who speak Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ. There are no Christians of this type in the U.S. : that type of Christianity is too loving, forgiving and tolerant. It would never work for the NeoConned.)

Am I talking about ALL Palestinians? Hell NO!

I'm talking about the Terrorist Group Hamas! Piss on 'em!

It's Israel that doesn't have its own state Marie...

In 1947, the United Nations approved the partition of Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab.[9] On May 14, 1948 the state of Israel declared independence and this was followed by a war with the surrounding Arab states, which refused to accept the plan. The Israelis were subsequently victorious in a series of wars confirming their independence and expanding the borders of the Jewish state beyond those in the UN Partition Plan. Since then, Israel has been in conflict with many of the neighboring Arab countries, resulting in several major wars and decades of violence that continue to this day.[10] Since its foundation, Israel's boundaries and even the State's very right to exist have been subject to dispute, especially among its Arab neighbors. Israel has signed peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, and efforts are being made to reach a permanent accord with the Palestinians.[11] However several countries, including Syria and Iran, refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist.

The UN took Palestinian land and plopped a Jewish state right on top of it! And then said, "Play nice".
Marie,

Facts...they can be your friend.

Fed,

Give me one link to a map that show's Palestine as a Country.

Any map I dont care what year.

The Israeli's have been chased out of every home they ever had by one form of Moron or another.

Israel was their land when Christ was born.

But nice way to try to stray from the subject at hand and that's the hopefully final destruction of Hamas!

Israel has taken over land that was not theirs! Did you read the post at all??? Why do you think militant groups like Hamas pop up? Because they're bored one day and say, "you know what we need...a terrorist group!"

The Israelis have been taking Gaza over inch by inch since the late 1960's.

Please, Marie, read up on this and stop getting all of your news from Fox Reich News.

For example:

The Sabra and Shatila massacre (or Sabra and Chatila massacre )was carried out between 16 and 18 September 1982 by the Lebanese Forces militia group after the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) allowed Lebanese Christian Phalangist militiamen to enter two Palestinian refugee camps, and the militia massacred civilians inside. It was argued that the Israelis should have known that a massacre could occur, considering the assassination of Phalangist leader and prospective president Bachir Gemayel two days before, and given the long history of animosity between the Palestinians and the Phalangists.

You have to look at Hamas like you would look at the Taliban in Afghanistan. What if U.S. forces entered Afghanistan and just murdered at random innocent Afghans and then claimed, "Well, the Taliban started it and we won't stop until they stop shooting rockets."

It's ludicrous and it is completely illogical and illegal.

Israel was given land per the UN agreement and has taken over land that was designated for Palestinian Arabs. This is why countries like Syria and Egypt (and occasionally Turkey) struggle with Israel's existence. The West has turned a blind eye to Israel's aggressive territorial expansion in the epicenter of Arab (Muslim) culture.

I'm not saying that violence is acceptable. I have been outspoke against the Iraq war, and most war in general, and despite having issues with Israel and its history, still strongly oppose Hamas' reaction to Israel's aggression.

What is getting really tiring is Israel's influence on American foreign policy in the Middle East.

Israel has a blank check in the eyes of the NeoConned, and of America in general, and usually adheres to an entirely different standard than any other country in the Middle East.

This is understood if you do some research on AIPAC.

But this requires reading...not merely listening to Hannity and Limbaugh talk out of their sphincters and get everyone to hate.

Knowledge is free but it takes willingness.

Fed,

OMG! You are naive!

I'm talking about the here and now, I dont know one country that hasn't been through some kind of war to form it's own Nation since the beginning of time!

Sorry dude but Isreal is where Christ was born and he was "King Of The Jews"

As far as Hamas and Hezblahhhhh are concerned they are bankrolled by Iran!

And what has Iran called for? The Total destruction of Israel!
So here we are again back to square one and you are still deciding who did what to whom in 1578!

Yes I hate Hamas and I hope they burn in hell!

Where did I say Palestine was a country?

This conflict didn't start on December 27, 2008, Marie.

C'mon, you're smarter than that...aren't you??

You have to go back to immediately after WWI. Sorry Marie, history and facts do count for something.

Land and country are the same thing?

Hmmmm...Apache land is a country?

That's news.

Actually it's really been going on since 1967, The Six Day War, when Israel violated the UN agreement by taking land in Gaza, which was not theirs. Period.

Hamas--take out the second "a" and what do you have "hams" thats what Israel whould be dropping on them. Boy, what a mess. Where are Israels friends--nowhere in the world. Not at the UN, not in Europe,certainly not in the middle east, not in the media elites in this country, not at our universities---so where are the friends of Israel? Some, but not all, in conservative circles. I'm old enough to remember the creation of the Jewish state in 1948 and the major conflicts during the years afterwards. I've seen the support for Israel begin to wane over that time. One thing I do know, however, is that the arabs will never push Israel into the sea. Mushrooms will grow in Cario, Damascus, Tehran, etc. before that happens. Hope it doesn't come to that. Its seems that is the way its headed.

Maybe "Not" hearing from any of Israel's friends
is a good thing this time.

Maybe they want Israel to take out Hamas as badly as Israel want's to?
