Well, that's that! I guess we will have to live with the fact that we may never know where our 44th President was born and/or if he was ever a "Natural" Born Citizen of the US.

Hawaii Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino and the state's registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, say they checked health department records and have determined there's no doubt Obama was born in Hawaii.
The nonpartisan Web site Factcheck.org examined the original document and said it does have a raised seal and the usual evidence of a genuine document.
In addition, Factcheck.org reproduced an announcement of Obama's birth, including his parents' address in Honolulu, that was published in the Honolulu Advertiser on Aug. 13, 1961.
(This version CORRECTS that Hawaii officials, not secretary of state, confirmed Obama birth certificate.)
No one else seems to be commenting on this non-issue.
I suggest you guys drop it or you'll look like the 9/11 Truthers who believe George W. Bush and Dick Cheney planned the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon.
Should we examine every presidents birth certificates at the Supreme Court level?
This was first brought to Justice Souter and he found that there was no evidence or reason to halt Obama's ascendancy to the presidency.
Then it was brought to Justice thomas, who following SCOTUS tradition brought it to the entire court.
The entire court then looked at the evidence that was presented, and rejected the claim.
In other words, the evidence was considered and the justices found no reason to change the ruling of Justice Souter, or the lower courts that had already ruled that there was no basis for an injunction, or for not accepting Obama's birht certificate as original, true, and accurate.
A Supreme Court where a majority, including the Chief Justice, were selected by Republican Presidents and that leans on controversial issues 5-4, and on many others 6-3 to the conservative side.
This has been a non issue from the beginning, and now, hopefully, we can move on.
It is truly astonishing to hear Maries Two Cents declaim over this non-issue.
Since I'm new to this blog, I wonder, did Maries Two Cents get all upset over the Constitution going "out the window" when Bush secretly wire tapped the American people, when he suspended Habeas Corpus, when he allowed America's name to be sullied around the world by allowing torture to be used on our enemies?
I'm highly amused to read so many of these conservative blogs and their writers' indignation over a birth certificate, while our country's reputation was destroyed by the Bush administration.
Obama was not born in Kenya. The longer you people continue to beat this dead horse, the nuttier you look.

This is such an old arguement if there was any truth too it the Dems would have impeached the man ages ago and you know it!
Marie, based on what I wrote, from where do you get the idea that I do not care about the Constitution?
If this case undermines the Constitution, shouldn't you be upset with the Supreme Court? They are, after all the ones who made the determination that there "no merit" to this issue.
What evidence can you produce [and I am sure you know it is impossible to disprove a negative] to show that there is in fact merit to this case?
Or to put it another way, what evidence do have, or know of, that the Supreme Court, did not consider or know about?

Dismissing this and just moving along as though this was NEVER an issue brings me to the conclusion that neither of you give a damn about the Constitution!
Yes, we should see every single Candidates Birth certificate if they are running for President of The United States ESPECIALLY when they have a family member in another Country that swears they witnessed the birth of "Said" person there in "That" Country!
I may have taken it out a bit on you two but you two were the only ones upset about this issue.
I am disgusted with the Supreme Court, yet again, after the mayhem that occured after the 2000 election I can understand why they might not want to get involved in this whole mess, but....If we cannot look to our Supreme Court Justices to Interpret The Constitution "As Written" then who can we count on to do it?

Aren't those BC's produced at a state level, thereby defaulting to a state issue?
Where is the federal mandate to examine for authenticity, a document that the states have determined to be true, accurate, and non fraudulent?

OMG! At the Federal Level? It's in Section 2 Atricle 1 of the United States Constitution! How can you get any more Federal than that?

Marie, my question on whether the federal level goes to who looks at the BC.
What person does the Constitution say should be the monitor of this document?
But given that you want his BC scrutinized, it already has been.

WHat evidence is there that the facts, as presented by Factcheck [cited by Naomi Chase] and Politifact have it wrong?
What evidence is there to convince the mostly Republican appointed SCOTUS that his BC is a fraud?
It has been vetted and he has been deemed a legal, natural born citizen of the United States of America as defined by the Constitution.

As long as there are questions lingering around out there Obama's Citizenship will alway's be in question.
He could have cleared it all up, but he chose not too.
