Gathering Of Patriots

Nothing could have kept me from this event. Not even the damn Ice and Snow Storm. Missed the morning rally though but not the entire event. Met up with Jennifer earlier in the day then we rode the train to "The Wall" to pay our respects. I havent even got my film developed yet but Jenn already has her post up over at Now For Something Different

I dont really have the words to describe what I was feeling. All I know is it was something I will never forget. And NO the Moonbat's never got to "The Wall". This was more than a Gathering of Eagles, it was a gathering of Patriots from everywhere. I'm honored just to have been a part of it.

Moonbats and Far Left Finatics BEWARE: The Silent Majority is Silent NO MORE!!

Glad you could be there and wish I could have joined you! I have heard glowing reports of success but the one problem that I saw was on most news coverage there was not any distinction between the moonbats and the Eagles. When news crews scanned the crowds they lumped everyone together as anti-war moonbast and all of the flahgs that the eagles were waving were percieved because of this as being flown by the moonbats! Fox was about the only one who seperated the two and gave the Eagles ample coverage and told the true story!

Glad you made it home safe Eagle!

What a day that was eh? If more people would get out and see the difference between the American vets and troop supporters and the outsider war protester moonbats that carry the flags of other countries and signs meant to belittle our great nation then they would quickly lose support from real Americans. You and I know how difficult it was to get to this event but I believe we made a difference.

For all the rest of you I just want you to understand that Marie drove through an ice and snow storm on unfamiliar roads in western PA and Maryland after driving across half of this country to get to a function. Then went on to stand and walk in very the cold and windy weather to show her support for the troops and their mission. You cannot separate the two.

In my eyes there are no greater Americans than people like Marie and the troops she supports with her words and actions.

Ken,

I expected as much from the Liberal Media. I wish I could have taped the coverage so I could have seen what was going on from the Media's point of view.

I guess it's up to us bloggers to bring the truth to the Viewers and those interested in what really took place.

I wish you could have been there too, it was awesome. I will never forget it :-)

Jenn,

We can deffinately say we put our money where our mouths are :-)

We walked the walk (Literally) instead of just talking the talk.

What a Journey for both of us, but it was worth every single minute. And I wouldnt have missed meeting you for all the Snow Storms in Pennsylvania lol.

Dont sell yourself short, you are a Vet and a Patriot!! You braved as much as I did to get to this Historic event.

You are one of the Bravest Americans I know Jenn, and I am proud to have met you :-)

I'm looking forward to seeing your photos Marie.

Glad you could make the trip.

I hope that we build on the success of this Gathering and work on events that are even more successful in showing that there are real Americans who aren't about to roll over and accept the defeat being forced on us by idiots.

Mike,

I'm looking forward to seeing my photos also lol. I havent even got them developed so I can scan them yet. I have been so tired from that trip. I guess it took a little more out of me than I realized. I will be my old self shortly I'm sure.

We will build on the success of this event I'm sure. There are alot of people that just arent going to take this crap anymore and I'm one of them.

The Silent Majority is Silent NO MORE!!!

Wha- ?! No digital camera, Marie?

I'm intrigued by your transformative experience. I am so glad you were able to be there, giving our side a vocal presence. Media coverage be damned!

There's nothing wrong with the old film cameras Wordsmith.

My Nikon FE still takes better photos than any digital camera.

And Marie: For a couple of bucks more the photo people can make you a CD with each photo already scanned. I don't even order prints anymore. All most of them do is end up in a box.

P.S. This is my SECOND attempt to post this comment with that GOD awful squiggly word verfication thingee. I hope more folks follow Wordsmith's lead and remove that dumb thing. I'd rather read spam than attempt to post this comment several times before it takes.

Word,

I'm not as technology literate as you guys lol.

I still use 35 mm cameras.

I am so computer illiterate, I will probably have to go to FexEx/Kinkos to have them mail the Pictures to my computer because I'm not sure I can even use my own scanner correctly. I'm lucky I can turn the damn thing on, make a blog, and keep my computer clean. C-Drive and De-Frag and all that stuff.

I have all these new fangled technology gadgets that I dont know how to use, or every time I try to use them I mess something up then I catch hell for it.

As for my experience at "The Wall" I cant describe this intense experience with the correct wording but I'll try.

I believe first of all that God had something to do with this. I had this feeling come over me while I was looking at the names and seeing what all was going on and hearing the moonbats on the Bullhorns or Microphones or whatever they were yelling through making complete asses of themselves. I had this feeling like this is what I am suppose to do, like maybe this is the plan God had for me all along and it didnt hit me until I was there at "The Wall". Kind of like this may be my calling, or this may be the plan he has for me and I never knew. And I dont know why but it seems like this is what I "should" be doing. Instead of sitting around talking about supporting the Troops, that I am suppose to get up and go do something about it.

I dont know, I could have just been feeling the intensity of the moment, but I feel in my heart that I want to get very involved in groups that send things to the Soldiers fighting for our Freedoms, I have already, but I feel I can do more.

I just feel I can do more about everything, especially supporting the Troops in every way. Showing up at counter protests, and that kind of stuff also.

I dont know how else to explain this. I hope you understood what I said lol. I know it was hard to explain.

I am thrilled I got to go also, and I intend to go to alot more of these. It's time to put a stop to these anti-war loones because the Viet Nam Vet's sure didnt deserve what they came home to, and I think the commie pinkos just found out we arent going to let this new Generation of Vet's come home to the same thing. I have said before I see a Vet getting spit on and it would be worth spending a few nights in jail for assault. And if I get spit on I'm spitting back!!

Yes Media Coverage Be Damned to Hell!!

Mike,

I will look into the CD thing, that sounds like it may be easier than FedEx mailing them to my computer.
