Sen. Harry Reid Land Deal Said to Include Mob Ties
Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) has been exposed, again, in what are being called “shady dealings”. Judicial Watch reports that this is the latest in Reid’s Senate Rules’ violations.
Earlier this year payments to Reid, ostensibly for Senatorial favors, were made by an Indian tribe. The latest potential Reid ethics' violation centers around a land deal that is said to have been structured and organized by a longtime friend of Reid’s, Jay Brown. Brown is said to have “mob ties”. The deal involved Reid’s 1998 purchase of undeveloped residential property for $400K that Reid sold 3 years later, for the same price, to a corporation owned by Brown. Brown is a former attorney who has been investigated by the Feds.
Reid’s problems are said to have occurred due to his secretly pocketing $1.1 million from the deal on the property that he no longer owned. Judicial Watch reports: “Reid violated Senate rules by failing to disclose the sale in his annual report and lying about his stake in his friend’s newly created company. In 2004, after local officials rezoned the area for a shopping center, the land’s value increased tremendously and was sold to developers allowing Reid to nearly triple his investment.
“Senate ethics rules are clear in stating that members must disclose all investments, for profit or loss, on their annual reports. They must also report all financial stakes in companies, which Reid clearly didn’t do.”
The AP also reported on the story. When being questioned about the land deal, the AP writes: “Reid hung up the phone when questioned about the deal during an AP interview last week.”

I reckon so! How many stories have there been about Mark Foley in the MSM? 500 something? And he was caught with just dirty email! And we have to have an investigation, and heads have to roll and on and on from the Dems. But this? Harry has been Dirty? Harry must step down IMMEDIATELY!! I say! The connection with the mob you heard about was the rumor that it was the mob that arranged to have JFK killed.
The theory was that JFK's brother, Robert, as the US Attorney General, was breaking up the mob and the rackets, and to stop him they killed JFK, the idea was that JFK's death would be more devastating to Robert Kennedy--that he would suffer more.
