No Punches Pulled Here

Insight of a Sergeant Major
(The author, J.D. Pendry,
is a retired Army Command Sergeant Major who writes for Random House.)

NO PUNCHES PULLED HERE

Jimmy Carter, you're the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw
the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home and then lacked the
spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people
hostage. You're the Runner-in-Chief.

Bill Clinton, you played "ring around the Lewinsky" while the terrorists
were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia, and
then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses embolden the killers.
Each time you failed to respond adequately they grew bolder, until 9/11.

John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about
American Soldiers in Vietnam. Your military service, like your life, is
more fiction than fact. You've accused our Soldiers of terrorizing women
and in Iraq. You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time... the
same words you used to describe Vietnam. You're a fake. You want to run
from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did the
Vietnamese. Iraq, like Vietnam is another war that you were for, before
you were against it.

John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can't win
militarily in Iraq. You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded
murder without proof. And said we should redeploy to Okinawa. Okinawa,
John? And the Democrats call you their military expert. Are you sure you
didn't suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your
war hero resume? You're a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician.
You're not a Marine sir. You wouldn't amount to a pimple on a real
Marine's ass. You're a phony and a disgrace. Run away John.

Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis,
tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot who
murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned South
East Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the
same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? See Dick run.

Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster sized pictures from Abu
Grhaib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you
saying that Iraqis torture chambers were open under new management. Did
you see the news this week Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrate real
torture for you again. If you truly supported our troops, you'd sho w the
world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation
of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese which
led to a communist victory there. You're a bloated fool bent on repeating
the same historical blunder that turned freedom-seeking people over to
homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, a ll while sitting
on you wide, gin-soaked rear-end in Washington.

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein,
Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Chuck Schumer et al ad nauseam.
Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the
Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied. That the war
is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers. That we should leave Iraq, you
give the Islamic butchers - the same ones that tortured and mutilated
American Soldiers - cause to think that we will run away again and all
they have to do is hang on a little longer.

American news media, the New York Times particularly. Each time you
publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence
gathering methods, you become one with the sub-human pieces of camel dung
that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can't
strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda
destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda
is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer.

You are America's axis of idiots. Your collective stupidity will destroy
us. Self-serving politics and terrorist abetting news scoops are mo re
important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent
civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in
the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant
editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of
murdering terrorists. Don't ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve
to extend this war as they extended Vietnam. If you want our Soldiers
home, as you claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country
ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies. Yes,
I'm questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with -self. I'm also
questioning why you're stealing air that decent Americans could be
breathing. You don't deserve the protection of our men and women in
uniform. You need to run away from this war and this country. Leave the
war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to
people who are willing to defend it.

No Commander in Chief, you don't get off the hook either. Our country has
two enemies. Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who
attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force.
It's your obligation to support them by confronting the axis of idiots.
America must hear it from you that these people are harming our country,
abetting the enemy and endangering our safety. Well up a little anger
please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute
those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute
those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets. Our Soldiers need
you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need you to do it now.

Did you know that it was Henry Kissinger, (the guy who is welcomed by Bush in the White House anytime he's in Washington and who is currently advising Bush to stay the course in Ira) who advised Jimmy Carter to let the Shah in this country? So if his advice to stay the course is a good one, was his advice to allow the Shah in a bad one? Does he give good advice sometimes and bad advice other times? If so, why is Bush listening to him? He may be the reason for Bush's failed policies in Iraq!

The rest of the post is the same old finger pointing and ranting about what the other guys have done--conveniently and hypocritically forgetting about all the people who were indicted and convicted in the Reagan administration during Iran-Contra.

Sigh.

And of course, no mention whatsoever of the illustrious Richard Milhouse Nixon,(REPUBLICAN) who has the dubious honor of being the only president who had to resign in disgrace and whose many advisers and other memebers of his administration were indicted and jailed for their crimes.

Speculation was rampant during Reagan's second term over what George HW Bush knew about the policy of selling arms to Iran in exchange for the release of U.S. hostages held in the Middle East.

Bush, Sr. insisted he did not know until the information became public that the sale of weapons, through Israel, was part of a hostage deal. But his attendance at key meetings seemed to suggest that he should have known that some leading administration officials had vehemently opposed the plan.

On the related question of transfer of profits from the arms sales to contras opposing the leftist Nicaraguan regime, Bush also denied knowledge. Evidence of contacts between his aides and private U.S. citizens assisting the contras raised questions for which Bush offered no definitive answers, in public at least.

When are you guys going to realize your guys are creeps, too? When.

Oh, and this administration, just to keep the books straight:

Libby, indicted, Savafian, jailed, Abramoff, jailed, Frist, under investigation, Tom DeLay, indicted and resigned, Michael Scanlon, indicted, jailed, Bob Ney, indicted, jailed, Duke Cunningham, indicted, jailed, Mark Foley, resigned in disgrace, Claude Allen, White HOuse domestic policy aid, indicted for stealing, resigned on and on and on.

Naming the bad guys on one side is so junior high, and sounds like: Nyah, nyah, nyah you did it, too! You did it too! Nyah, nyah, nyah you're a badie; we're the goodies!

Sheesh. It doesn't solve anything.

PS. The rose wallpaper is beautiful. Where'd you get it?

The flags were pretty, too.

I want to keep y'all up to date on the "We're As Good As You Are At Corruption" tactic, since that seems to be the game the conservatives want to play.

This just in, and it's on your side. Sorry:

Rove aide resigns in fallout over Abramoff report By Steve Holland

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An aide to top White House political adviser Karl Rove resigned in the fallout over a congressional report showing many White House contacts with ex-lobbyist Jack Abramoff, a spokeswoman said on Friday.

Last week's report by the U.S. House of Representatives Government Reform Committee said Rove aide Susan Ralston had passed inside White House information to Abramoff while she was also accepting his tickets to as many as nine sports and entertainment events.

Abramoff and several associates have pleaded guilty to conspiracy and fraud in an influence-peddling scandal and are cooperating with a federal corruption probe that has reached into the U.S. Congress.

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Ralston submitted her resignation after recognizing that "a protracted discussion of these matters would be a distraction to the White House."

Ralston chose to step down and "we support her decision and consider the matter closed," Perino said.

Ralston worked for Abramoff before joining Rove as a key aide in the White House in 2001.

um, er Mrs. Green, YO, MRS.GREEN WAKE UP. That's better.
All other administrations pale in comparison to the Clinton admin when it comes to crime, indictments and jail time for administrtion officials. Why oh why, do you do this to yourself?

RECORDS SET

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court

* According to our best information, 40 government officials were indicted or convicted in the wake of Watergate. A reader computes that there was a total of 31 Reagan era convictions, including 14 because of Iran-Contra and 16 in the Department of Housing & Urban Development scandal. 47 individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine were convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes with 33 of these occurring during the Clinton administration itself. There were in addition 61 indictments or misdemeanor charges. 14 persons were imprisoned. A key difference between the Clinton story and earlier ones was the number of criminals with whom he was associated before entering the White House.

wah, need a tissue?

Nice try, jg, but most of these are supported allegations by the screeching right-wing hate machine, with absolutely no evidence nor legal action on the accusations.

Our side could also say, if we were as sleazy as you guys, that Bush is the only president who was implicated in getting an ex-girlfriend of his a Mexican abortion--against her will. But I won't say it because that would be just passing on unsupported slander.
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation

Wait, wait, jg. Bush's term in office isn't over yet. He may surpass this.

- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly

And this is indicative of what?

- First president accused of rape.

Accused by whom? A court of law? Or a scandal monger? Evidence or gossip? Or the conservative hate machine fueled by Richard Mellon Sciafe?

I wouldn't crow too loudly just yet. We've got two more years of Bush's presidency, and at the rate his minions are being indicted and going to jail, looks like he'll leave Clinton in the dust.

Heh.

Don't you find it sad that you're still waging war against Clinton?

We're 6 years into the Bush administration, and you're still obsessing on Clinton?

He must drive you nuts.

I understand. Someone with that much charisma and brains would drive anyone mad.

Mrs Green,

Why shouldnt Henry Kissinger be welcomed when he comes to the White House? If he is advising Bush on anything that doesnt mean Bush is listening to him, Bush makes up his own mind.

There are No FAILED Policy's in Iraq! I swear what does it take to get you Liberals to understand the whole mission here is to stand up the Iraqi Army so they can handle themselves? So our boys and girls can come home with the Honor and Respect they Deserve? The Iraqi Army is coming along fine, are there things that go to pot in every war yeah, and with insurgents in there and that's all we are seeing on tv it looks to everyone like Iraq has gone to hell which it is far from the truth. Are we adapting, sure, are the insurgents thinking up new tactics of course, that happens in every war. Have we been adapting? Hell yeah. Are we going to keep on this until the Iraqi Army is stood up, you bet your ass!
With 3 elections, a new government in Iraq, them no longer being a threat to thier neighbors, not shooting at us in the no-fly-zones, a busted up oil-for-food-program, and the Iraqi Army coming along every day, I hardly call that failed policy's! You need to start looking at the glass half full instead of the glass half empty!
But then again your a Democrat I forgot lol.

And the whole post was something that was mailed to me and I liked it, it being from a Sergeant Major's prospective. I thought other people might like to see what some Sergeant's are feeling.

If You have any griping to do, do it to the Sergeant Major, it's his feelings!

All the rest of the crap you posted doesnt even apply to this post because it's not my ideas, it came from a Sergeant Major, but then again I guess you didnt read that part!
