Boy's Penis in Father's Mouth 'Not a Sexual Act,' Webb Tells Radio Host...
Webb Says His Novels 'Inappropriate' for News Radio
In an interview on Washington Post Radio Friday morning, Jim Webb, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Virginia, said excerpts of his novels are "a little bit inappropriate" to be read on news radio.

"I don't know why you're reading that on WTOP," Webb told host Mark Plotkin. "I think it's a little bit inappropriate."
Plotkin was reading an excerpt from Webb's novel "Something to Die For," in which Webb describes a female stripper performing sexual acts with a banana.
"I don't think that's appropriate for you to read on WTOP," Webb said again as Plotkin finished the excerpt.
The campaign of Republican Sen. George Allen on Thursday released excerpts from some of the war novels Webb wrote between 1978 and 2002. The books include some graphic sexual passages, as well as frequent uses of a racial slur for blacks and descriptions of Vietnamese women as "monkey-faced."
Among the excerpts is a scene from the 2002 novel "Lost Soldiers," in which a man embraces his four-year-old son and places the boy's penis in his mouth.
Webb said the release of the excerpts was "a Karl Rove campaign tactic" and a "classic example of the way this campaign has worked. It's smear after smear."
He defended his fiction as "illuminative."
"It's not a sexual act," Webb told Plotkin regarding the "Lost Soldiers" excerpt. "I actually saw this happen in a slum in Bangkok when I was there as a journalist."
"The duty of a writer is to illuminate his surroundings," he added.
Coincidentally, a Cambodian woman in Las Vegas is facing sexual assault charges for performing a similar act on her young son, according to an Oct. 14 report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The article quotes an office manager for the Cambodian Association of America, who described the act as a sign of respect or love.....(What the hell??)
"It's an exception," Thira Srey told the Review-Journal of the practice. According to the report, the act is usually performed by a mother or caretaker on a child who is one year old or younger....(UH I DONT THINK SO!) In Webb's novel, the child is four years old.
Webb criticized the Allen campaign for focusing on excerpts from his novels.
"The most important issue facing the country, he hasn't got a statement to make on it," Webb said of the Iraq war. "This country's been breaking into pieces economically ... they've got no position on that.

Passage From "Lost Soldiers" By Jim Webb
Lost Soldiers 333
Shirtless Man walked toward them along a mud pathway. His muscles were young and hard, but his face was devistated with wrinkles. His eyes were so red that they appeared to be burned by fire. A naked boy ran happily toward him from the little plot of dirt. The man grabbed his young son in his arms, turned him upside down, and put the boy's penis in his mouth.

This is sick. If this is the way Jim Webb think's in his twisted mind about what he would consider "Good reading material", what in the hell would this man think about Foreign Policy Decisions? Is that what Jim Webb think's about Soldiers? Oh hell NO, we dont need another Democratic pervert in the Senate! This has gone way beyond sick.

James Webb was the Secretary of the Navy under Ronald Reagan from
1 May 1987 - 23 Feb 1988. This seems to be the pattern for dems. I spoke about this on an earlier post Marie. It appears that this once honorable person that served his country has not held himself to the same standards of honor and dignity once he hung up the uniform. That's where it really counts too.
Talking from experience I know that when you are wearing the uniform of your country you understand that you are a representative of your country throughout the world and you hold yourself to a much higher standard. Once you hang the uniform up you must continue to hold to yourself to those same high standards in order to be regarded in the same honorable manner.
This is what is missing from the many cadidates that the dems have put up this year including this James Webb. Jack Murtha, Joe Sestak, James Webb and many others wish us to consider their service records as indicators on what type of public servants they would be if elected. I say that only comprises a portion of their accomplishments and to hold themselves above reproach after their service is what really shows the quality and depth of character. None of these people have shown that "above the board" behavior and none of them deserve the further trust of the American people that would elect them.
Marie,
The guilt lays not only with Webb but also with the whole democratic party. To back endorse him is to approve him and his lifestyle. One sick man. One sick party.
I am a social liberal, but when it comes to placing a boy's penis in his father's mouth is not a sexual act? What the hell is this guy thinking. Anything else he may have written in his novels is protected by the constitution, with consenting adults, like doing a sexual act with a banana.
When it comes to perverted acts to children is where I draw the line.
Blogger just trashed my comment. I lost my blog yesterday too when I tried to switch one of my blogs over to Blogger Beta. I'm frustrated.
Anyway, with all the hate and personal attacks against the candidates it's a no wonder that people like this Webb are the only ones they can find to run for office. What respectable person would want to have his family or any personal problems they've had in the apst pasted on CNN for them to examine and second guess and then hand over to their party for expoitation to attack their opponent. Granted, republicans have not been unfamiliar to this tactic over the years but it has become a big problem because none of the people that could be good leaders want to go through the process and the lies of the press.
JG,
I hate Beta!
I cant comment on anyone's blog when they have that crap on there.
