The Bush administration agreed Tuesday to release dozens of disputed photographs and videos of detainee abuse at Abu Ghraib, two weeks after Salon published an official Army criminal archive that included many, if not all, of the same images.
The government's decision ends a nearly two-year legal battle with civil liberties advocates over whether or not the publication of the material would harm national security.
In a filing to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, government lawyers cited Salon's recent publication of the disputed images as the reason for dropping their legal fight.

What is the purpose of this crap? Abu-Ghraib isnt and hasnt been under US control in a long time. Is the ACLU trying their best to insite more violence toward our Troops? Does anyone really care about this anymore (Besides The ACLU), Havent those that perpetrated any crimes already been tried, convicted, and sentenced? I have just one question for the ACLU, WHY?
