I'm NO fan of Imus, I think he is a bungling fool! But what did MSNBC think they were getting when they signed on with this loon? But should this idiot really lose his job over all this? He has apologized!! REPEATEDLY!!
Where is the outrage over Rosie O'Donnell claiming the President attacked our own Country? Shouldnt Rosie go too? I think if Imus must go, then Rosie should too. Imus is an idiot, a shock jock, what he said was reprehensible, but if Tokyo Rosie said it, people would laugh. It seems there is a double standard at play here.
Maybe his show should be known as "Anus in the Morning"!!

I guess Imus is getting his full dose of liberal ideology. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Queasy Imfume, Julian Bond, Harry Belfonte, Louis Farrakhan, Danny Glover etc...can call anyone any name but just let it pass the lips of the unannointed one time then that person becomes the "pile on".
I don't have much sympathy for that old ill tempered Imus, but I'm supposing he found out fairly quickly how his liberal buddies operate eh?
It could be anyone though, remember all the hoopla made about "butt-for-brains" Joe Biden referring to Hussien Obama as being "articulate"? That was supposed to be a compliment. So much for that.

While Tokyo Rosie can sit there on the View all day long slamming the United States, the Troops and our President and NOTHING happens to her, she doesnt even apologise for her remarks.

You know when this kind of crap happens, it usually backfires on those who made a huge deal out of it to begin with.
We cannot have a country that has freedom of speech if we continually pick it apart. I have seen or heard things, that are freedom of speech. If they hurt me much, I would ask someone to alter it or remove it as a personal favor. But we cannot say that one thing is so terribly wrong, and another isn't. I feel bad for IMUS, because I think he has done some wonderful things as the rest have observed.
Let's face it...There are so many dumb blond jokes, shouldn't blondes be offended. Shouldn't overweight people be, when they are called fat slobs, fat a$$es etc. There are many things that can be tempered. But freedom of speech might go out the window. I hear people fuel the fires all the time.
I say Ladies who were insulted, you know who you are and what you are, and that's what counts. Show what you're made of. A sloppy joke doesn't identify you. We so need to laugh these days, that things can be hurtful and silly. Accept the apology, in the good grace it is meant and made, and know who thy enemy really is. Imus is not your enemy.

What I'm getting affraid of however is this whole thing is going to backfire on those two, well Sharpton in General, and here we will go with another race issue thing and this time it will be the other way around.
Those two would love nothing better than another riot or worse, and someone else getting killed!

4) McCain said he would still appear on Imus, looks like he cant now.
5) Edwards of all people the one in the way of Clinton and Obama said he believes in forgiveness, (Talking about Imus) hmmm.
Somehow this whole thing was Politicaly motivated I bet ya. With Jackson and Sharpton wanting a Democrat back in the White House and unfortunately for Imus he turned out to be thier punching bag. As if they were just waiting like Vultures for something like this to happen so they could pounce.

No Marie, CBS didn’t make this decision because his ratings went down and the marketplace decided he wasn’t profitable. They made this decision because Sharpton, Jackson, and the left-wing media put political pressure on them and their sponsors.
Once again, Imus will not be the last one to be bitten by this.
