Ok I couldnt stay away.....SUE ME!! First of all for you Dems GET OVER YOURSELVES!! You act like you won the Presidency. You guys have both Houses Of Congress that's it! And you have 2 years to prove yourselves!! We still have the Presidency and the Judiciary. I guess this is sort of an open thread...........I had NO idea I would get this amount of emails (Alot from those THAT DONT EVEN POST COMMENTS!!) But anywho you guys have emailed me and the one question I have is: 'Why should I be the least bit happy about the outcome of this crazy election'? I would still like to know WHAT THE HELL IS THE PLAN from the Democrats? I will admit we took an ass whoopin! But at what cost? Is your plan to hold up Congress for the next 2 years with frivilous crap? Is there a plan for the Defense of this Country? (MY BIGGEST CONCERN) Do you guys have any plan besides pulling out of Iraq and letting it turn into a terrorist playground? Are you people really for 'Late Term Abortion'? Are you guys concerned with protecting our borders? How about terrorism? What's your plan for that? CONVINCE ME!! I cant promise I will comment because I really do have alot of catching up to do with alot of other things, but feel free to express your opinions, go to town, have at it with each other, but NO PROFANITY with the F word or when I check in you go in the trash!!! I just want some answers and I expect others do as well!!

I am not convinced if Democrats or Republicans will make a change for the better for the country.
The only thing I hold certain is we will have an ever growing government and an ever increasing debt.
Raisng taxes is not the answer. Cutting waste and buraucracy is part of the solution.
My opinion, nothing will ever change for the better until we have a third party representing Americans in Congress.
No one will have control. Not Democrats. Not Republicans. Not the Third party.
Then we would have politicians work together, instead of arguing and bickering which is so counter productive. They would have to work together in order to get their particular agendas passed.
Since the dems do not have veto proof majority they will get nothing done. Just in case though I went out yesterday and bought some more assault weapons and a couple of handguns with lots of targeted ammuntion. I'd advise everyone to do the same because not only will the dems be coming after your money for their wasteful government programs they will be after your guns too. This is a given.
I listened to Charlie Rangel on C-Span this morning and according to him all tax cuts will be sunsetted or repealed and a new sensible tax plan will be introduced. Sensible? Senisble to who? Sensible to the big money interest people that they have to pay back that got them elected. George Sooros, Barbra Striesand, Michael Moore. Yeah it'll be sensible alright. Just not to the people that have to pay the bill.
Ol' Chuckie Schumer was licking his lips when they asked him about gun control measures he would like to get passed. Chuckie would like to reinstitute the assault weapons ban and make it a federal law to prevent states from letting their citizens have concealed carry permits.

But then again President Bush, does still have Veto power, but that put's him in a precarious position, if he want's anything to get done he has been doing this all along anyway since NO ONE ever passed the "Line Item Veto", he may have to sign a bill filled with Democrat pork in it just to get what he want's.

I blame my own party for this! I blame the Republicans who sat this one out and either thought "We have it covered we dont need to show up" or "I am sure going to teach my congressperson a lesson", but I bet you Wednesday morning when all was said and done they were freaking!

Mrs. Green. I for one congratulate you and the Democrats. Well done. Personally, I feel Republicans lost because of Republicans, moreso than the fact that we were beaten by the actions of Democrats. There were so many things going against us, and I fault the Republican majority as much as anything, for not behaving like a majority in Congress. But the Democrats also ran a well-disciplined campaign.
I'm actually optimistic for Republicans in 2008. I consider this a house-cleaning. I just hope we survive the process. Our enemies are already emboldened, I fear, by the results of these midterm elections.

Marie, If America survives, after the Democrats allow terrorists to freely streeam across our borders and attack us at will beause they are too afraid of offending them, the Republicans will take back the House and the Senate.
The American people have believed the retoric coming from the left and their willing cohorts in the media, now they will be able to see with their own eyes (throught the smoke) how they have been hoodwinked.
In anger, they will rise up and this time their memories will be much longer.

Well I hope they get thier crap together real fast because Al-Queada is already sending us messages and the Dems better say something REALLY strong, REALLY fast, and at least ACT like they are going to be just as tough on terror as the Reps were. Because they are now looking at this whole thing as a sign of weakness.
