Is This Some Kind Of Sick Joke?

Iran's Leader Declares Intent To Speak at U.N.

Diplomats at the United Nations were sent into disarray yesterday when President Ahmadinejad of Iran declared that he intended to attend the General Assembly of the world body on September 19 and to debate his country's nuclear program with President Bush, who is due to address the Assembly that day.

However, it was far from clear whether the Iranian president was serious in his suggestion or whether he was merely tweaking the nose of his American opponents. His intention to visit New York was reported by the Islamic Republic News Agency, which quoted the Presidential Office Media Department reporting him as saying, "We are ready for a debate with the Americans at the U.N. General Assembly" and that "the American side can even take part in the debate side by side with his advisors, and as a full team, if they wish so." Mr. Ahmadinejad last visited the United Nations last year.

...........................President Lunatic

The speculation, however, was enough to prompt sharp questions from reporters to the press spokesman of Secretary-General Annan about whether a precedent existed for America denying a visa to a president visiting the General Assembly. The spokesman replied that he knew of no such precedent.

The prospect of Mr. Ahmadinejad striding the world stage and voicing his well-known anti-Semitic views and his belief that Israel should be destroyed in the General Assembly was enough to cause a member of the Israeli parliament, M.K. Dan Naveh, to ask the Israeli government to demand that Mr. Ahmadinejad be prevented from attending the Assembly.

President Nutball Applies For American Visa
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gee I wonder what the hostages taken in Iran are going to think about all this? Maybe we should really think this over if we want the United Nations to remain on US soil. (I Vote NO) Since this nutjob is on the terrorist watch list I think he should be arrested the minute he touches American soil, after all he was one of the captors of our hostages. No diplomatic amunity for this guy. Then again I wouldnt mind seeing he and President Bush in a steel cage match, my money's on Bush!! this whole thing is crazy, isnt it enough we have one wackjob X-President from Iran over here?
Let him get the visa and let him speak to the U.N. then declare him an enemy combatant and send him to Guananamo Bay. I am sick of the U.N. selling out the very same country that funds it. Let him do so then hold him as an enemy combatant. I have no respect for this guy because he is so hostile towards Israel. At least we wouldn't have to waste military power on him.
The Iranians are no dummies. They are playing the old "Good Cop/Bad Cop" routine. They sent Mohamed Khatami over first to make a couple of speeches to the usual dupes on the left and portay Khatami as a moderate. Then they send Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and portray him as a hardliner to deliver the "we will not budge" speech to the UN.
In the meantime the puppetmasters back in Iran are buying precious time gathering all the materials they can to finish the project of creating no less than a crude nuclear device. The Iranians realize that the US,Britain and possibly Germany and with a slim chance of France joining in, will cutoff the Irainians suppliers like China, Russia and North Korea via the UN security council.
This whole thing of sending these mouth pireces out is nothing more than a ploy to buy more time.
The only answers I have to resolve this immediate assault on the security of the US and our allies interests is to stand tough on Iran and not back away from demanding they stop developing their nuclear assault devices. This must be the ultimate goal of our dealings with Iran.
The Iranian leadership does not have the popular support of the people. The people are ruled with an iron fist and no matter what kind of jester you think President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is, make no mistake that the "behind the scenes" mullahs rule their society with oppression and viloence and crush those that dare to dissent.
I am sick of the UN being on American soil period. Why do we have to put up with leaders of other Nations that screech "Death To America" comming into our Country?
Or "Death To Israel" either.
I hope if nutball comes here we do like Mitt Romney did in Mass, and provide absolutley NO security for his crazy ass!
I saw a piece on one of those History like type channels last night and Iran better think twice about going much further with this notion, because looking at where our troops are positioned, we have Iran surrounded!
I'm not sure I would rule out one Military option, taking out thier launchpads.
I am not interested in all these UN Resolutions after Resolutions, that's how Saddam aquired all his crap, he just went right around all that, and then bilked the American people for billions in the "Oil For Food Program".
If you saw the same History channel program that I was watching Marie, Iran certainly has to remember over 600 Iraqi missiles hitting Tehran and their inevetable surrender by the famous Ayatollah Khomeini during the Iraq/Iran war.
I have refrained from mentioning that from a military standpoint Iran is in a bad tactical and strategic position being surrounded by their potential adversary because liberals that haven't figured that out for themselves do not need to have it pointed out to them.
Hopefully some of the leaders of Iran that remember the death that was rained down upon them by Saddam Hussein will think about it long and hard before they bring on conditons that will make them have to go through that agian.
Maybe we did see the same program.
The thing I am worried about and would probably NOT support this time around is sending in ground troops. (If we saw the same program you know why I am mentioning that) I wont mention THAT on here.
If the reports are true, that the people of Iran want a new government then they just need a little push to get it started. And THEY can take care of the rest.
I would think taking thier launchpads out might just solve this whole mess before they really do Launch! But then again there is alway's that hope of Diplomacy.
I have lost so much faith in the UN, I just think they are a waste of real estate at this point.
Does it really matter anymore what the Liberals have or havent figured out yet? They think we are over there for the oil anyway lol, and they refuse to believe there is a war on terror, hell they wont believe anything unless Iran lobs one right into thier front yard!
But by then we will be screwed, and the Liberals will say "Oh Holy ****, We should have listened".
But it will be to late!
We're dealing with a toatlly different mindset with the Iranians. They are Persians and at one point in world history their was a Persian Empire that ruled a large portion of the world. They are not like Arab muslims which have a much different history. Arabs are used to having their butts kicked and ruled by every Empire that came from the East and West but the Persians were once one of those ruling Empires.This is what having nuclear weapons is all about for them. The difference now is they are being strongarmed into living in a Islamic theocracy and that doesn't sit well with many that wish to advance their society. We have been trying to get that portion of the population energized for many year but it hasn't panned out yet. We're still waiting and watching to see what will happen.
