The Downing Street Memo Crap
This has got to be the most stupid piece of work yet drummed up by the Far Left to try to get President Bush out of office whichever way they can even if it makes them look quite rediculous and totally deranged!!
The Downing Street Memo is reported to be minutes of a July 2002 meeting among Blair and some of his top intelligence and national-security aides. One of the anti-war aides reportedly told Blair at the meeting that the Bush administration has already decided to go to war with Iraq and was looking for justification. "Intelligence and facts were being fixed" to make war appear inevitable, the memo reportedly stated. Its veracity has not been contested by No. 10 Downing Street.
Have these people forgotten this was July 2002?
This was before all the Intelligence from Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Israel, and several other forein countries ALL concluded the same based on thier intelligence as well as our own, that Saddam had weapons of Mass Destruction.
We know he had them once, we are still "In Country" Our Fine Military found a heck of an underground bunker something like 6 football feilds long or longer in Iraq the other day that was never uncovered till now that terrorists had been using, equipped with beds, air conditioning, food, showers, not to mention all kinds of weapons.
Now if that went uncovered all this time, it leads me to believe we havent had enough time to uncover all the hidden tunnels, bunkers,etc. and therefore the WMD yet. I believe its still in Country or was moved to Saddam's wonderful helping hand Syria!
So maybe ALL the intelligence from ALL the countries that voted UNANOMOUSLY by the way in the United Nation's to put an end to Saddam's Regime, were right after all. We will someday see.
Maybe the Liberals have forgotten United Nations Resolution 1441.
Maybe the Liberals have forgotten all 17 of the Violations Saddam broke over the last 13 years before we went to the second part of the war against terror.
Shooting at our Aircraft in the No-Fly zones on a daily basis, trying to assasinate one of our Presidents, Commiting atrosities, Gasing the Kurds, Gasing Iranians, Paying Palestinian Suicide bombers 25,000 dollars every time they commited one of those barbaric acts against Israel, giving safe harbour and aid to terrorists like Abu Massab Zarqowi, Crimes against Humanity, etc. and this was after invading the tiny country of Kuwait, Scaming his way around Oil For Food while pocketing most of the money, and the list goes on and on and on.

It is said to be minutes of a July 2002 meeting where Blair allegedly admitted that the Bush administration "fixed" Iraq intelligence to manufacture a rationale for war.
Citing the Downing Street Memo, former presidential candidate Ralph Nader called for an impeachment investigation on Tuesday in an op-ed piece published by the Boston Globe.
"It is time for Congress to investigate the illegal Iraq war as we move toward the third year of the endless quagmire that many security experts believe jeopardizes US safety by recruiting and training more terrorists," wrote Nader with co-author Kevin Zeese. "A Resolution of Impeachment would be a first step."
The British memo, however, contains no quotes from either Bush or Blair, and is notably slim on evidence implicating Bush in a WMD cover-up.
Though largely ignored in the U.S. outside of rabid anti-Bush Web sites like MichaelMoore.com, the Downing Street Memo won Sen. Kerry's endorsement in the Standard Times interview: "It's amazing to me," the top Democrat said, "the way it escaped major media discussion. It's not being missed on the Internet, I can tell you that."

Falsifying evidence of WMD? Our congress admitted Saddam had them, Kerry said Saddam had them, the War Powers act was approved unanamously by both houses of congress who saw the same intelligence and never dismissed the notion that Saddam had them. If they are going to try to impeach our President they have to think about impeaching themselves too! !@#$#@!

Some argue "We invaded a Soverin Country that posed no threat to the United States"
Well that's just Horseshit!
First of all it was NOT a Soverin Country, Saddam Hussein murdered his way into and then claimed the Presidency in Iraq in the 1960's, kept the Iraqi's under tight rule with an Iron fist, and decided to become the Butcher of Baghdad, and the biggest pain in the ass of the Middle East there ever was.
As for posing a threat to the US, President Bush made it quite clear, "If you give safe harbour, aid, and comfort, money or supplies to terrorists you will be considered a terrorist" "You are either with us, or with the terrorists"
That means when Zarqowi got his leg blown off in Afghanistan fighting the US there, then went to Iraq way before we ever got there for medical treatment, which he got, Saddam gave him safe haven, aid and comfort, and I suppose a prosthetic leg would be considered supplies!! Which also tied Saddam to Al-Queada way back then.
Paying Suicide bombers in Palestine is considered giving money to not only a terrorist, but a terrorist group.
Anyone who claims Saddam was not linked to Al-Queada, or any other terrorist organizations is a liar.
Anyone who claims Saddam posed no threat to the United States of America is a liar.
Anyone who tries to impeach Our President will be in for the fight of thier lives.

First you need to learn how to spell ,second, get some facts correct,al qaeda was not in iraq prior to u.s. invasion,for proof go to state department web site on terroism,on sept 17th-2001.45 countries had members of al qaeda operating in their country at that time,including Switzerland and Ireland(both neutral countries)Iraq was not on this list.W.M.D will never be found,because they were destroyed by U.N. weapons inspectors throughout the nineties.For proof go to google and type in "scott ritter" former U.N. weapons inspector(and republican) and read what he has to say,he was there on the ground(iraq) in the nineties.The reason the downing street memo is creating a stink is because intelligence was cherry picked to make the case to go to war.Hence the line "intelligence is being fixed to fit the policy"(to invade)This fixing had to happen because as the memo states,the case for invasion/war was thin.Now exactly how would Saddam,a dictator in decline without chemical,biological or nuclear weapons at his disposal,constitute a threat to the world's superpower.Please inform,I,m all ears.
I haven't seen the actual "memo" in it's entirety yet, and if and when I do, I will post a comment on my blog about it. However, I have heard that there really isn't anything in it that could be misconstrued as evidence that Bush planned to go to war with Iraq...
Mr o, that attack on Marie's spelling was underhanded and beneath someone who is obviously as articulate as yourself. That being said, We did not go to war with Iraq specifically because he had WMD's. We went to war because he failed to comply with UN resolutions many many times and only did go to war with him when it became obvious we were'nt going to get any help from our so-called allies, namely, France and Germany.

Think about it, if the UN weapons inspectors "Destroyed" all the WMD then why would they vote in UN Resolution 1441 Unanamously to "Remove" them? Not to mention letting him set there for 13 years after invading Kuwait and violating every resolution the UN imposed on him 17 I do believe which I have listed several of them on my blog. That is the Primary reason we went to war anyway was the violation of the UN Resolutions imposed on Saddam by the UN that he broke repeatedly. I advise you to read Resolution 1441. Also we went in with faulty intelligence yes, but not just ours, France, Germany, Russia, Israel, and 33 other Countries said he had "WMD" and all countries in the UN said he was a threat not just to the US but to the entire World and he had to go! Thus a Unanamous vote.

And it is common knowledge that Zarqowi WAS in Iraq for a leg operation BEFORE we ever got there. No the White House never says it, but I have been following Al-Queada for quite a long time since I found out they were behind most of our terror attacks the most recent being the USS Cole and 9-11. In a previous blog I wrote months ago I have proof there.
I think YOU are the one that needs to do some reasearch because you are way lost.

Ah yes,because I dare to give credence to these memo's then I must be pro Saddam.Are you not cognizant of that old saying"sticks and stones may break my bones but words" well you know the rest.Resolution 1441 was asking the iraqi dictator to do the impossible,account for weapons he did not have in his possession.How could he destroy what was not there,this I ask you.You see the British had a clever plan,get the weapons inspectors back into Iraq,not as a way of avoiding war,but to provide Huessein with an ultimatum,should he refuse, that, as the memo states could provide a legal basis for war.The americans were worried about this plan because what if the inspectors go back in and come up with nothing,then our main rationale for war will come undone.So hans blix and his crew enter Iraq and do their job(inspections) and discover not a whole lot after two months and things they did find

There no vote at the UN "to remove saddam from power".
No weapons of mas destruction have been found in Iraq.
German and French intelligence did not agree with US "findings" that there were weapons in Iraq.
Saddam's level of support for terrorism was miniscule compared to that of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan -our supposed allies in the war on terror.
I doubt you would be so angry if you were better informed.
No point in discussing this, since people believe what they want to believe. In the US, reality is a matter of political affiliation.
