But I was in Haiti in 1978 when I was in the Navy, and the place didn't look all that different from the way it looked after the ground stopped shaking. Moreover, I have to wonder how much of that relief aid is going to end up rotting in warehouses or sold on the black market to benefit the corrupt local elites.
And by the way, how come the Saudis haven't contributed a dime to help?

Sort of like the aid that went to Katrina Victims. No one knows till this day where all the money for Katrina Victims went.

I dont know about Saudi Arabia, they dont seem to care about anything but their oil sales!
