The black vote has become monolithic and calculable. Blacks are about 12 percent of the population and they vote almost exclusively for democrats at about 90 percent. About 70 percent register and 50 to 60 percent vote. In the overall numbers of votes they make up about 10 to 12 percent.

The Conservative and independent voices among blacks are excoriated and demeaned as traitors.
