It's the question every presidential candidate must be prepared to answer, but when it was posed to Barack Obama by a 7-year-old yesterday, the Democratic senator seemed at a loss for words.
Appearing before a packed high school gym in Elkhart, Ind., the young girl asked Obama why he is running for the White House.
"America is, is no longer, uh, what it could be, what it, it once was," Obama said haltingly. "And I say to myself, I don't want that future for my children."
Talk-radio superstar Rush Limbaugh, who featured the clip on his show today, marveled that Obama didn't immediately speak of running because he loves America.
"You're running for president of the U.S., and you run down the country to a 7-year-old?" said an incredulous Limbaugh.
Limbaugh suggested someone should ask Obama to name the period when, in his opinion, America was as it should be.
Isnt this amazing? Running down the Country to a 7 year old? He could have said "I'm running for President because I think the Country needs change and I Love America" But NO!!!! This Moron runs America down just like he alway's does, his wife does, and his Pastor.

I don't want the sort of future he has in mind for my children's children, if indeed he would even allow them to live, and after watching the video I found on him today, that's something we should all be concerned about.
This guy is a tolal piece of excrement and he needs to be stopped! Keep it up Marie. The more of us after him the better.
Come over when you can. I've also got a video up on him that will thoroughly disgust and even shock you. I thought nothing could shock me about him anymore but I was wrong.

A book recommendation for people is The Progress Paradox. It seems a natural state of man to always romanticize the past, in the belief that our grandparents had it better, that things are getting worse, etc.
The loon is so scripted he can't even adapt his bullslinging so it answers the innocence of a seven year old.
I hope the parents of this poor kid realize the folly in voting for the messiah after this crappy answer.

Obama can't think and chew bubble gum at the same time. The twisted reasoning in answer to the 7 year old girl is pure nonsense. This country has has had it's ups and downs but in Obama's life it has been an upward trend and he's still complaining as is his angry wife. Let's get this election over with and get on with our cleaning up of Iraq and then Afghanistan. Obama will go back to the Senate and obstruct progress but at least we won't have to listen to his insane mutterings day in and day out.
