I think that they were all so much better last night, And I think that they all should be tested for Steroids.
I agree that it was a really good debate as for Mitt Romney, I liked him very much, and I’d put him in the top three along with as did Rudy, and Mike Huckabee as as as last nights debate. but I thought Fred was so, so, he really did not impress me at all. He read and read and didn’t seem to be able to carry out a conversation at all.
But that’s just my little ole humble opinion

So we are all as confused as we were yesterday.

Well we still have some time, but the clock is ticking!

This one was more or less an even slate as far as performance, (except the usual dulness and ramblings fo Paul).

The debate in January should seperate the , "men from the boys, " so to speak since it is the last one before the primaries.

Already have my press credentials especially since it is only 8 miles from my front door!

I hate the constitution therfore I can't stand Ron Paul. I hate conserving money so I can't stand Ron Paul. I hate small government so I can't stand Ron Paul. I hate Liberty so I can't stand Ron Paul. I want to bomb Iran eventhough I can't find it on a map so I can't stand Ron Paul.

Rudy should be running on the democratic side. Have you looked at his record? He's about as conservative as Bill Clinton. He actually wants the government to pay for abortions!! He's for Gun Control. And on and on. The guy is a liberal masquerading as a conservative.

Someone is bound to stick out as the frontrunner soon Ken.

We may have to comprimise some of the things we want just to keep us from getting killed by Hillary.

Besides we do like something in every candidate (Except Certifiable) we may be able to afford to.

I'm still hoping for Fred but just in case, I say we see who imurges.

Angel,

It seemed like it to me to :-)

For me and this is just for me, Huckabee is off the radar screen because of his stand on illegal immigration. He is as bad or worse than Bush on illegal immigration. We discussed this over Mike's America and Gayle put on us onto the stands that Mike Huckabee takes on illegal immigration, not good at all.

I think Fred Thompson has the credentials of a pretty good conservative but there is no fire there as if he is sick or drained of strength physically.

I think Rudy is the one I'm going to back. To me he has a pretty wide appeal. He has problems with some social conservatives stands but I think he has moved to the right on many of them including the issue that will make or break a Republican candidate; Gun Control. All the rest of the conservative stands like spending and abortion pale in comparison to fervor that is ginned up when someone says they want new gunlaws.

Just ask Bill Clinton and how he lost the 50 year +, democrat controlled congress on that single issue when they passed the assault weapons ban and the Brady Bill background check and said so on the floor of the House of Representatives during his 1994 State of the Union Address. Abortion foes and the other lobbies cannot claim that kind of clout. The only way for abortion laws to be changed or repealed is through the Supreme Court and Rudy already said he would appoint a strict constructionist judge to replace any of the liberal judges that are very old and in ill health. Here's what Rudy has to say about the 2nd Amendment

Rudy is also very consistent about his stance of the War on Terror. He is vehemently for victory for the troops, the others sound a bit vague when it comes to victory but Rudy is solid on backing them 100 percent.

I'm still trying to figure out which constitution ronulan is reading from. He certainly doesn't know or understand much about the US Constitution.

Who won? Evidently the guy who wants $189 billion more to stay in Iraq another year. Let the good times roll.

I liked Huckabee in the debate. Yes, I know he's liberal, and I'm not going to vote for him, but he always sounds good. Fred and Rudy did OK. Hunter and Tancredo shouldn't be there anymore- I like what they say, but they aren't going to win. Ron Paul is truly nuts.

Jenn and Danny,

I really like Fred, but at this point I like something in every candidate with the exception of (Nutball Ron Paul) and I think I am just going to see who imurges as the front runner.

To bad we couldnt roll them all into one person, but we cant so we are just going to have to watch and see.

All I know is if Hillary Clinton get's elected we are totally screwed!!

So we gotta stop her.

Dont you give a damn if we have another 9-11?

I DO!

Good. Then I recommend you read something about suicide terrorism. Imperial Hubris and Dying to Win are good places to start.

We are bound to have many more 9-11s if we insist on stomping around the Middle East bombing and waving guns at everybody who looks sideways at us, and consistently propping up widely reviled authoritarian regimes in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, and elsewhere.

Empire has consequences. England found that out...right here on this soil, in fact. So it goes.

Marie, Fred is good on the conservative values and I like Fred, always have but there seems to be something physically weak about him. I know he had some kind of cancer and maybe that's why he seems a bit enemic.

ronulans are retarded and phychotic.

I recently joined the Duncan Hunter bandwagon, but Hunter and Tancredo combined didn't get as much air-time as the top 4... heck they got less time than ronpaul!

I will be voting for Duncan "The Real Deal" Hunter in the primary...but will vote for ABC in the general...
(Anyone But Clinton) unless she goes to jail and they select globalgore or whoever.

Did you notice Frank Luntz analysis on Fox?

Whenever a candidate went on the attack against Democrats and specifically Hillary Rob'em Clip'em, the approval numbers went off the scale.

I am looking at the recent Louisiana Governors race as a thermometer right now... LA has been Democrat controlled from top to bottom since about 1492(lol) where Republican blaming and hating is an art form... YET what did they do?

Elected a Republican Governor of course!
There is a growing movement of the old so-called silent majority in this country. If we stick to fundamental issues and the truth, that movement will sweep right through 2008, the White House and Congress.
Hide and watch.

Hi Marie,

Although I am with J_G about Rudy he is stronger on the War on Terror and all, I also think that John McCain did much better than he did before, so I am so inclined to say that they all did much better than before.

Well that is except for that stupid idiot Ron Paulsie. LOL

Paulsie because there are no connections from the Brain Stem all the way up to the Cerebral Cortex. LOL

DD,

Yes almost alway's anonymous. I dont think Ron Paulians have a website to go to. You would think on Paul's own website they would have a place where these people can connect with one another.

I think Rudy is the one I'm going to back. To me he has a pretty wide appeal.

It is important that we choose someone who can win in the general election. Rudy also has name recognition. Your average apolitical American is unfamiliar with the names "Romney" and "Huckabee". Rudy, Hillary, Obama, Edwards, McCain...those are the rock stars, as far as having their names recognized, more or less, in popular culture.

As frustrating as McCain has been for many Republicans, he had a great line in regards to the Woodstock museum: "I'm sure it was a cultural and pharmaceutical event. I was tied up at the time."

ArPee and his minions are just walking dolls, predictable in their responses. Just pull the string: Michael Scheuer blah blah blah....the Constitution supports ME! ME! ME!.....the Founding Fathers blah blah blah....American foreign policy blowback spin spin spin...they hate us because we're over there whine whine whine...interventionist not an isolationist spin, whine, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Good grief!

All I say to people who want the most traditional conservative in the hunt is to go to ontheissues.org and compare Duncan Hunter's record issue by issue to Huckabee, paul or any of the top 4.

He is the real deal.
