Heads Up Republicans!!!!

There is a new tactic being used by the Democrats or the Anti-Victory Democrats or just nutballs in General.

This is the second time this has happened to me but the first time was not as aggressive.

I was on my way for a Check Up today and I still have my "Support President Bush and the Troops" bumper sticker on my car. A car spead up and changed lanes so they were right in front of me with a bumper sticker that said "Impeach Bush" (Which is odd for Oklahoma) on it.

Needless to say it slammed on it's brakes in front of me hoping I would rear-end it! Well I have excellent brakes and was sort of expecting it since it happened to me last week also but without the "Impeach Bush" bumper sticker, it was some other weird bumper sticker, needless to say they didnt get what they wanted and I didnt rear-end them.

Just a head's up to all of you driving out there and if you see a car in front of you that says "Impeach Bush" or some other cockamaymee sugestion WATCH IT!! They are out for us and a lawsuit!!

Talk about pissed off and desperate!!

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you Marie.

But you're making some wild assumptions, vis-a-vis "a new tactic being used by the Democrats or the Anti-Victory Democrats, or just nutballs in General."

I believe you encounted a nutball who happened to have an "Impeach Bush" bumpersticker on his/her car.

My friend who lives in a small town on Cape Cod (which has consistently voted Republican in Mass. politics) had a sign supporting John Kerry on her lawn during the last presidential election. Her lawn was vandalized in the night--garbage, toilet paper, and some sort of animal poop strewn all oveer it (she lives in a neighborhood with maybe two or three leashed dogs.) And her sign was missing.

Would it have been fair of her to announce to the world that this was some sort of new "Republican tactic?"

No.

She assumed some crackpot with too much time on his or her hands did it--and possibly, possibly because she couldn't know with certainty, someone with Republican leanings.

She didn't indict the entire Republican party for the stupidity of one person.

May I ask how you knew the first incident was also perpetrated by a Democrat, since you say there was no "Impeach Bush" bumpersticker on it only a "weird" one?

I'm glad you were not hurt.

Marie, Put an NRA window sticker in the back window of your car. It's a message even the liberals get. If you don't have one I'll send you one.

Joanne nobody should destroy anyone else's property for having a political sign out on their lawn. I've never seen democrat signs on any lawns around here but I'm sure the house would be OK if a democrat would move into the neighborhood, we're diverse.

Marie: Anyone encountering similar behavior should take the license number and report the offender immediately.

Maybe when the cops show up they'll get the message that such crap isn't permissible.

Oh, Joanne: Hard to equate sign desecration with what is potentially a violent act. And if it were the first time such a thing had happened you might be right in dismissing any link to the party in general.

But we've seen a campaign of hate directed at ALL Republicans and conservatives since Bush was elected.

Gun shots fired into GOP headquaters in several states. Union gangs invading GOP headquarters in several states.

Tires of campaign vehicles slashed by Dem operatives in Wisconsin, car windows with Bush stickers smashed.

The worst of all, was the union gang which surrounded a man with his three year old girl who were holding a Bush/Cheney sign at an event. They tore the sign from the girl's hands as she sat on top of her father's shoulders and handed the pieces back to her as they taunted her.

Look at the pictures midway in this post cataloging MORE Democrat hate:

http://mikesamerica.blogspot.com/2006/09/playing-at-polling-place-near-you.html

Sorry, but you won't find ANYTHING that comes close to the volume and vitriol of hate coming from Democrats on the Republican side of the aisle.

And they learned this hate directly from their leaders. It was Party Chairman Howard Dean who said "I hate Republicans" and "We're in a battle of good and evil and we're the good."

Glad you're ok. Way to think behind the wheel, and put defensive driving into practice. This sort of crap from either side is unacceptable.

On the August 24 edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, co-host Sean Hannity aired video footage of musician and right-wing activist Ted Nugent at an August 21 concert calling Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) a "piece of shit" and referring to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) as a "worthless bitch." In the video clip, Nugent holds up what appear to be two assault rifles and says he told Obama "to suck on my machine gun" and says he told Clinton "you might want to ride one of these into the sunset." After airing the clip, Hannity referred to Nugent as a "friend and frequent guest on the program."

Mike,

Let's not get into a "I'm a bigger victim than you are" argument. I posted this just so you would remember the "vitriol" that comes from your side of the fence, too.

Ted's a pretty wild child. I think the grammar he used to describe Barrack Obamma were over the top, I myself would have used other language to describe Barrack Obamma's proclivity towards a socialism. As far as Mrs. Clinton goes, there probably isn't a person alive in this country today that trusts her or her husband. Words do have meaning.

Word,

Haha I learned to drive in LA!

Defensive and Offensive :-)

But sometimes these Okie drivers beat all.

Jenn,

It wouldnt do any good to put an NRA bumper sticker in my window considering most of these Okies carry guns to begin with. Good idea though.

Mike,

Can you imagine if I had of rear ended that car and the cops would have come, seen both our bumper stickers, they would have figured out instantly what happened or accused me of hitting them on purpose! Sometimes I dont trust the cops out here. But I will report this nonsense if there is a next time. It all happened so fast and the car spead away I didnt have time to do anything but say whew!!

Joanne,

Pointing to other bad behavior does NOT excuse the bad behavior that was perpetrated to begin with.

Marie,

That was not my point. Re-read my post. My point was that the ugly behavior of one or even a half dozen people does NOT indict an entire group. Your encounters with two aggressive drivers, one with an "Impeach Bush" bumpersticker, and the other with a "weird" bumpersticker does not mean all liberals and Democrats are in a conspiracy to cause road rage.

That was my point. I said at the beginning that you were making assumptions.

No where in my post do I excuse the aggressive driver nor do I say anything about who were the actual perpetrators of the vandalism on my friend's lawn.

In fact, I point out she couldn't possibly "know" who did it.

It's frustrating when people don't read accurately.

Nowhere in my post do I suggest one aggressive act excuses another.

Sigh.
