Clinton Unhinged/Bubba Goes Balistic

Clinton faults Bush for inaction on bin Laden

WASHINGTON - Former President Bill Clinton, angrily defending his efforts to capture Osama bin Laden, accused the Bush administration of doing far less to stop the al Qaeda leader before the September 11 attacks.

In a heated interview to be aired on Sunday on "Fox News Sunday," the former Democratic president defended the steps he took after al Qaeda's attack on the USS Cole in 2000 and faulted "right-wingers" for their criticism of his efforts to capture Osama bin Laden. (-)

"But at least I tried. (Ah huh) That's the difference in me and some, including all of the right-wingers who are attacking me now," Clinton said when asked whether he had failed to fully anticipate bin Laden's danger. "They had eight months to try, (And you had 8 years) they did not try. (We picked up where you left off with your people still in charge Bubba) I tried. So I tried and failed." ( Yes you did )

The September 11 attacks occurred almost eight months after President George W. Bush succeeded Clinton in January 2001.

"I authorized the CIA to get groups together to try to kill him," Clinton said. He added he had drawn up plans to go into Afghanistan to overthrow the Taliban and launch an attack against bin Laden after the attack on the Cole in the Yemeni port of Aden. (Then why didnt you? )

"Now if you want to criticize me for one thing, you can criticize me for this: after the Cole, I had battle plans drawn to go into Afghanistan, overthrow the Taliban and launch a full-scale attack search for bin Laden. But we needed basing rights in Uzbekistan -- which we got after 9/11," Clinton said.

The former president complained at the time the CIA and FBI refused to certify bin Laden was responsible for the USS Cole attack. (Ah Huh )

"While I was there, they refused to certify. So that meant I would have had to send a few hundred special forces in helicopters, refuel at night," he said. ( Gee Ya Think? )

Earlier this month, Clinton dismissed as "indisputably wrong" a U.S. television show that suggested her was too distracted by the Monica Lewinsky scandal to confront the Islamic militant threat that culminated in the September 11 attacks. (He Was)

You guys are obsessed with Clinton. He's been out of office for six years. SIX YEARS!

Bush has had his party in control of Congress as well as a Supreme Court that is in his pocket.

And y'all go bonkers over a president who's been out of office for SIX YEARS? There's an interesting psychology behind all of this and the conservatives expose themselves on it every time they get all purple and crazed over Clinton.

Call him names, blame him for every thing that happens in this country. And ignore what history is already saying about him now--which is actually quite favorable--he made his mistakes, that's for sure--but he is not messianic like the present holder of the office of the presidency who when asked if he'd made any mistakes, answered he couldn't think of any.

Rant away, my friend, but remember, history will be the final judge of Messrs. Clinton and Bush, not the execrable FOXNews network or the cowardly Chris Wallace.

And remember Mr. Clinton polled over 60% favorable rating with the American people during the height of his impeachment and your hero, the pro-torture president, hasn't been able to get to 50% for over a year.

I guess that's why you guys have gone ballistic over Mr. Clinton, it's called Clenis envy. The man you destest the most is better liked around the world than your pro-torture president.

Thank Heavens, there's no telling how many 9-11's we would have had, had Clinton or Gore been there.

Bush has had his party in control of Congress as well as a Supreme Court that is in his pocket.

And the Democrats still manage to Obstruct, Fillibuster, and Generaly make things miserable for this Country!

How is Chris Wallace a coward? by asking tough questions of Clinton?
I havent called Clinton any names, I just like to poke fun at him when he comes undone lol.

And remember Mr. Clinton polled over 60% favorable rating with the American people during the height of his impeachment and your hero, the pro-torture president, hasn't been able to get to 50% for over a year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Polls, Polls, Polls, cant you guys ever quit with this poll stuff?
You could tell me that Bush was polling at 80% favorability and I wouldnt believe it, because I dont think polls are acurate or genuine. It depends what questions are asked, the way they are phrased, and in what area's they are being conducted. Of course Bush will look unfavorable in a Democrat district, as he would look favorable in a Republican district. And we arent voting for President this election, last I checked it was Congress!
The only poll I care about is in November.
I guess that's why you guys have gone ballistic over Mr. Clinton, it's called Clenis envy. The man you destest the most is better liked around the world than your pro-torture president.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have news for you, since you guys on the left have ranted and raved about Bush so much, NO ONE on EITHER side is respected in certain of parts in the World anymore! They think EVERYONE in America is crazy! Even Clinton! Great job!

As for torture if you think throwing someone in a cold room for a few, and blasting the Red Hot Chili Peppers at them is torture then you have a misinterpetation of torture.

Torture is when the terrorists cut off heads, limbs, and gouge peoples eyes out. I have yet to see any American do that.

At the moment the Police have more authority to get information out of thugs off the street than the CIA does with Terrorists. Until there is a plan that can go to the President's desk!

Nope, if it wasnt so serious about Bubba not catching Bin Laden, it would be funny.

Who knows maybe watching Bubba go balistic may be sort of funny anyway.

The only poll that really counts happens on the 2nd Tuesday of November.

I wish Bubba would just fade away into the background because most people are justy plain sick of him and his so-called wife. We wouldn't be talking about Bubba if he hadn't inserted himself into the news with his Global whatever. Bubba blew the interview with Chris Wallace because Chris asked him to tell the truth. That was Chris' biggest mistake, asking Bubba to tell the truth.

George Bush is just a President. When his term is done we'll elect another President. Hopefully the next President will have the same guts and integrity George Bush has. Bubba was blip and will only be remembered as the second President to be impeached. That's why he's trying so hard to stay in the news but everyone is sick of him. Just go away Bubba!

Chris Wallace is a tough fairminded reporter. I once watched him interview his Dad, Mike Wallace. Chris was tougher on his Dad than I would have been on my Dad. My parents were both upstanding people and were Democrats.

Oh gosh. Marie, my friend, I hate to remind you, but we had a 9/11 while Bush was president.

Bush was president for 9 months.

The Bush administration did not hold one meeting, not one meeting, on going after bin Laden in the entire 9 months before 9/11. Not one.

Why was that?

There's plenty of blame to go around.

And it is during the Bush administration that the grandstanding thugs of the world feel free to come to the US and insult the American president.

That didn't happen on Clinton's watch--even during his sex scandals.

No foreigner came here and made fun of the American president then.

The reason those two idiots did that to Bush is because Bush is not respected around the world. The world leaders see how he talks about democracy for other countries while spying on his own people and condoning torture. Not to mention letting his Secretary of State go before the UN and lie about the menace that was not Iraq.

And I don't care how many Democrats said Saddam was a threat. There are ways, other than invading a country and destroying its infrastructure, for dealing with threats. Bush, in fact, is dealing with a huge threat, North Korea, and he isn't going to invade that country and topple its dictator. Why is that?

And Korea actually DOES have weapons of mass destruction.

These are the facts that you guys ignore but think no one will notice, because you're making fun of Clinton.

Yeah. That's going to work.

NOT.

And in case you don't read the news:

WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 — A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks.

The classified National Intelligence Estimate attributes a more direct role to the Iraq war in fueling radicalism than that presented either in recent White House documents or in a report released Wednesday by the House Intelligence Committee, according to several officials in Washington involved in preparing the assessment or who have read the final document.

An opening section of the report, “Indicators of the Spread of the Global Jihadist Movement,” cites the Iraq war as a reason for the diffusion of jihad ideology.

The report “says that the Iraq war has made the overall terrorism problem worse,” said one American intelligence official.

Feeling safer?

Just as the North Vietnamese were assured a victory by the very same people you align yourself with Mrs. Green so do our enemies feel emboldened to strike at us again from every way and word that can use. The democrats today give reassurance to our enemies that they assist to fight the resolve Americans have to defeating our enemies for the democrats would rather see us defeated to gain back politcal power rather than see George Bush and the Americans defeat the enemies of our nation.

This is the reason why our enemies flock to the UN and every camera they can find because our enemies know they can easily exploit the behavior of the cowards among us.

Bill Clinton was one of those cowards for he loathed the military and used it to draw attention away from his indescretions. No madam you are wrong, you're kind are of the most contemptuous and cynical generation of people that have been elected the offices of our once great government.

The report comes from the Bush administration’s very own National Intelligence Estimate. It is a report from The Bush Administration.

Just as the North Vietnamese were assured a victory by the very same people you align yourself with Mrs. Green so do our enemies feel emboldened to strike at us again from every way and word that can use.--jg

I seem to remember it was Nixon who got that “victory” in Vietnam.

The democrats today give reassurance to our enemies--jg

That is hogwash and the sort of rhetoric an angry and frightened person uses who knows somewhere in her heart that things have gone terribly wrong in Iraq and that the person she admires most may well be responsible for one of the most disasterous blunders in the history of this country. She can’t bring herself to face this hideous fact, so she accuses the opposition party of treason and sedition—and does so with no supporting evidence.

that they assist to fight the resolve Americans have to defeating our enemies for the democrats would rather see us defeated to gain back politcal power rather than see George Bush and the Americans defeat the enemies of our nation.--jg

61% of the American people do not support Bush’s blunder. You and your friends are in the minority, still believing the lies and deceptions being fed to you by Bush and Rove. The majority of Americans believe the war in Iraq is a mistake.

Bill Clinton was one of those cowards for he loathed the military and used it to draw attention away from his indescretions. No madam you are wrong, you're kind are of the most contemptuous and cynical generation of people that have been elected the offices of our once great government.--jg

There you go again. Clinton. Clinton. Clinton. Do you know what a moral coward is? I’ll tell you— it is a man who believes in the Vietnam war, who thinks America should fight the Viet cong, but who uses his father’s influence to avoid combat duty and spends the 60s in a drunken haze in the cushy, safe TANG while other young men fought and died in Southeast Asia.

Bill Clinton did NOT support the war in Vietnam. He was not a hypocrite. He, just like Dick Cheney and others in the Bush administration, received legal deferments. Legal.

However, Dick Cheney was in favor of the war in Vietnam, so long as someone else put his life on the line for it.

If I remember correctly he had “other things to do.” Cheney and Bush are moral cowards. There is no way you or anyone else can excuse their hypocrisy. They had a chance to prove their belief in what America was fighting for in Southeast Asia, and they opted out of it. That is their legacy. Forever. And a stinging shame on them. Forever.

How dare anyone go after Clinton for not serving in a war he did not believe in. That is moral consistency.

Mrs Green, when Bush took office he made the mistake of not cleaning house and getting rid of Clinton's people right away! But did Clinton brief Bush on Usama? Once? Ever? NO!!!
Bush picked up exactly where Clinton left off with the "Supposed" hunt for Bin Laden Clinton claims was going on. With Clinton's people still left in charge.

So the notion of Bush being in office 9 mon, (Actually it was 8 but whatever), doesnt wash when Clinton had 8 years to get Bin Laden.

And these Thugs that have come to OUR Country to Bash the President is all because of you on the left, they watch all the Bush bashing you guys do and they figured that they could just join in with it, that is until Charlie Rangel and Nancy Pelosi of YOUR party actually had enough balls for once to speak out against them.

You guys have caused so much of a rukus over Bush NO ONE in certain parts of the World respect us anymore, No Matter Who is in office (Not even Clinton) because of the Idiocy from YOUR Party!

Not to mention Clinton made us all look like idiots when he was up Monica's little blue dress. Yeah that's the way to get World Respect!!

YOUR party has made us such a laughing stalk in certain parts of the world that even if a Democrat was elected President in 08 that we wouldnt be taken seriously because the harm YOUR party has already caused!

Your wrong about Bush not being respected in the World, as a matter of fact it's an outright lie! Look at Tony Blair, the PM of Japan, Musharaff of Afghanistan, Maliki of Iraq, John Howard of Australia, 63 other countries that are right along side us in the war on terror, I could go on and on. Sorry Mrs Green that is a lie!

That's also a lie when you say "Bush is spying on his own people" , he is spying on calls made and money tranfered to and from this Country by Al-Quaida, ONLY!

You may not care about how many Democrats believed Saddam was a threat and Clinton himself said he was glad Saddam was gone, but what can you say when YOUR Party voted for the war to get rid of Saddam? Because they has the same intelligence we had.

Bush's Secretary of State lied about Saddam being a menace? Are you nuts? Every single one of YOUR party said he was, the UN said he was, the French said he was, Britain said he was, 33 other Countries said he was, and He was lying? And YOUR party voted to go to war? Get a grip Mrs Green.

North Korea "Supposedly" has nukes, what that Chia Pet is really after is Money!
Besides we are arming Japan, and we have the US Navy sitting off thier coast, they may talk, but they arent near the threat Iran is becoming.

Sorry Mrs Green but you really do need to wake up and smell the coffee!!!

In case I dont read the news? What the hell are you talking about ALL my stories come from the NEWS! This story came from the news.
Unless they are funny email thingy's, that I post sometimes and when I post them I usually also post "This was an email I recieved", so pay a little closer attention Mrs Green. (In case I dont read the news lol)

There are a few things going on here Mrs Green. That was a New York Times story back in April, and only brought out now, before the elections. No Liberal leaning slant at The Times eh? Oh and by the way, this report the NYT got hold of, isnt even completed yet!
So the Times once again opens mouth and inserts foot before the entire report is complete.

And YOU guys on the Left are the ones and the Left Wing media that pound and pound every single day about Torture, Abu Ghraib, GITMO, Terrorist Surveilance Program, Data Mining, Bush this, Rumsfeld that, etc.. and ALL of our ENEMIES watch this crap. So what do you expect after all that, for the terrorists to cease and desist? Our enemies play upon what everyone in this Country says, they are NOT stupid. They watch EVERY single thing that goes on in this Country. They know how to maipulate YOU guys, and the Media. Most clear thinking people however see through thier bull****.

I will agree with US intelligent reports (That arent even completed yet) that Iraq has brought about more terrorists, but if you would ever realize that was the plan all along you would see this in a clearer light. You bring them out so you can kill them off OVER THERE! NOT HERE! In other words keep them busy and on the run so we dont have to fight them HERE! It's like swatting a Hornet's nest, you swat it, you wait for them to all come out, and you kill them off.

You are so anxious to blame the US constantly, more terrorists couldnt possibly have been activated through all the Video's and Audio tapes by Usama, or Zawariri now could they?
These Jihadists have been around since the 70's and even before that, but it's America and the West they are after and that started way before Bush ever became President!

Do I feel safer knowing the terrorists are being stopped and arrested by other Countries, Captured or killed by our Magnificent Military, restricted to sending messeges via Donkey, and from a cave, and being kept busy over there and NOT HERE? You bet your ass I do!

Mrs Green,

Here is something that might interest you:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A newspaper report that a U.S. intelligence analysis found that the Iraq war gave rise to a new generation of Islamic radicals and made the overall terrorism problem worse was "not representative of the complete document," the White House said on Sunday.
The New York Times reported that a classified National Intelligence Estimate completed in April said Islamic radicalism had mushroomed worldwide and cited the Iraq war as a reason for the spread of jihadist ideology.
It was the first formal appraisal of global terrorism by U.S. intelligence agencies since the Iraq war began in March 2003 and represents a consensus view of the 16 spy services.
"The New York Times' characterization of the NIE is not representative of the complete document," said White House spokesman Peter Watkins.
He declined to comment on information contained in the classified document. (Wonder how the NYT got it?)
U.S. intelligence chief John Negroponte said news reports on the NIE characterize "only a small handful" of the conclusions from a broad strategic assessment of global terrorism.
"The conclusions of the intelligence community are designed to be comprehensive and viewing them through the narrow prism of a fraction of judgments distorts the broad framework they create," Negroponte said in a statement.
Negroponte said the analysis found that if the U.S. effort to establish a stable government in Iraq succeeded, jihadists would be weakened and "fewer jihadists will leave Iraq determined to carry on the fight elsewhere."
President George W. Bush has steadfastly insisted that his decision to invade Iraq was the right action to take to head off a potential threat.
At fund-raisers ahead of the November congressional elections he has been striving to portray his administration as tough on terrorism and the Republicans as the best party to protect Americans.
As the Gipper used to say" There you go again". Defending a coward and immoral person like Bill Clinton. That washes with no one even people in your own party laugh and roll thier eyes when Clinton is defended. There is no defense for the conduct of Bill Clinton period and everyone knows it except you Mrs. Green. For eight years Bill Clinton and his "gang that couldn't shoot straight" headed by "the three blind mice" did absolutely nothing, zero, zip, nodda to protect the nation. They were too busy catering parties at the UN or having guys wearing stolen tablecloths on their head over to the White house yee haw Yassar,have one of these well, er, um cigars. Blip...blip... blip... "we've lost them sir" that's the history book on Bill Clinton and the Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight.
It's a travesty that 3000 people had to pay with their lives to show that nothing, absolutely nothing was being done to prevent terrorism and all of us that lived through thos dark times of the Clinton years knew it was coming.
With or with out you the American people will continue to fight and protect our nation against a determined enemy. You think we are not at war or this is just some kind of Middle east flare up and John Kerry and Hillary Clinton will just nuance them away when they become a majority in congress (unlikely at this point)There were more unanswered terrorist attcks when Bill Clinton was president and finally, finally we get a President that is ready fight and what do the democrats do. Blame Bush. Good thinking, that always works.
For eight years Bill Clinton and his "gang that couldn't shoot straight" headed by "the three blind mice" did absolutely nothing, zero, zip, nodda to protect the nation.
1) In 1995, Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, known as "The Blind Sheik," was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for planning and executing the World Trade Center Bombing that occurred 1 month into President Clinton's first term.
2) The LAX bombing was stopped on December 14, 1999, and was reported in an important series in the Seattle Times. Extra security measures had been implemented by US customs agents, leading to the apprehension of an Algerian, Ahmed Ressam, with a trunk full of nitroglycerin, heading for LAX (he wanted to start his journey by ferry from Port Angeles, Washington).
Ressam was stopped at Port Angeles by an alert customs agent Diana Dean and that was not an accident.
Clinton had made Richard Clarke a cabinet member. He was given the authority to call other key cabinet members and security officials to "battle stations," involving heightened alerts in their bureaucracies and daily meetings. Clarke did this with Clinton's approval in December of 1999.
So right there, jg, are two examples of Clinton's administration doing something--in direct contracdiction to your allegation that he did "absolutely nothing."
Why should I give credence to anything you ever have to say again?
September 25, 2006 6:47 PM
I will let you two squabble this one out lol, but I have to admit, Clinton didnt do nearly enough, and Clinton also got lucky.
Clinton now blames Bush for not doing anything about the USS Cole when that happened in October 2000 when Clinton was still President.
When 9-11 happened it was September 2001, we were in Afghanistan in October of 2001. One month later. Clinton could have been in Afghanistan in November of 2000. One month later.
Clinton got very lucky when an alert border security guard at the border of Canada/Washington caught on to the Mellinium Bomb Terrorist Ploter, when he started sweating and carrying on and acting funny, if it wasnt for her, LAX would have been toast!
A President is suppose to leave the Country better than he found it, Clinton left us with Al-Quaida!
Where you in a coma during the Clinton years Mrs. Green?
That is the only relevent question.
The FBI was never able to recieve the information about a blind Sheik from the CIA because of the wall that the Clinton admin erected between the two agencies. Then after the first trade center bombing it took a lot longer than it should have to find Ramses Yusseff because of the walls those walls. Thank goodness for the CIA and FBI agents that communicated with each other about the investigation against the rules Clinton admin had laid down.
In the meantime Clinton deliberately defunded the military that he so loathed and along with the CIA.
Clinton tried to act tough but he sent Bombers into Kosovo before ground troops ever hit the land (oops, I already told you that magnificent story didn't I?)
Our intelligence was cut to the bone mainly relying on nothing more than satellite images instead of hard intelligence gathering.
(I know as funny as it was to me and my friends from the Navy it made the good guys look bad when they had to use an outdated tourist map to hit Belgrade with a cruise missile but hit the Chinese embassy instead)
Please do not make us relive that pitiful era of our Country, it's much too painful for Americans in the military communties to have to go through that embarrasing period of history again.
The Clinton administration brought our defenses from attack to our knees and our enemies knew it and took complete advantage of it.
Clinton is still the most despised man among active and retired miliatry personal of any president ever, even more than (choke) Jimmy Carter. That happens every time, sorry. I don't need any New York times or WP articles written by people in cubicles to back up what I say Mrs. Green.
End of Story I'm not saying one more word about a worthles lying draftdodger!
