Sorry New Orleans
But your just not going to get the Hornets back!

FoxSports Reports:
Hornets better off in Oklahoma City
If it's the thought that counts, the NBA in general and commissioner David Stern in particular, are to be commended.
Yes, a standing room only crowd showed up in New Orleans on Wednesday night to see the Hornets lose to the Lakers in the first NBA game in the Big Easy since Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city. And to be sure, Stern and everyone else in and around the NBA had kind things to say about the future of the Hornets in New Orleans.
But then, there is the caveat, a caveat nearly the size of the Grand Canyon.
Coach Byron Scott
Thinks the Hornets should remain in Oklahoma City.
For virtually the entire 2005-06 season, the Hornets have been the feel good story of the NBA. Exiled from New Orleans due to Katrina, they've not only been welcomed by Oklahoma City with great class and dignity, but have admirably handled the touchy situation with New Orleans. They don't want to be perceived as taking advantage of the disaster; so they welcome the Hornets for however long they can have them.
Instead, they have sold out nearly every game this entire season, and been in the heart of the playoff race with unexpected effectiveness on the court for coach Byron Scott, a top-notch coach of the year candidate. Then there is Chris Paul, nearly a lock to be named NBA Rookie of the Year. Finally, there will be plenty of support for David West as the NBA's Most Improved Player.
Yes, Oklahoma City loves their Hornets for however long they have them — guaranteed for the rest of this season and for at least 35 games next season, too.
But beyond that... who knows?

I know, Until your state and local officials get off thier rumps and decide how to fix New Orleans the Hornets are staying right here in Oklahoma City!! Fema has given more money to this than any other American Natural Disaster in history, the Army Corp of engineers are waiting for the go ahead from lawmakers in Louisiana to get started on the levees, there are thousands of mobile homes sitting in Hope,Arkansas waiting for Louisiana city officials to give them the go ahead on where to put them, those with homes that need to be rebuilt have been offered $150,000 each from the government, to buy them, that's more than most of them were worth!! Anyone who wants a job, there's plenty of them in Louisiana! Then again the State of Louisiana wants to give the jobs to Native New Orleaneans, what they are forgetting is that MOST OF THEM ARE STILL GONE!! And then Louisiana officials cant account for where alot of the money has went. Why is it the other Hurricane ravaged states are rebuilding? Well anyway until you people get it together we are keeping the Hornets!! And one little sell out crowd in Louisiana isnt going to do it.

It is getting tiring Star, I dont think there is anything left that President Bush can possibly do in this situation. And it seems to me the people of New Orleans wont be happy until the President himself get's out there with a hammer and nails and rebuilds the city himself! And they would still be screaming for more. But it is really up to the state and local officials at this point dont you agree? I mean Louisiana seems to be the only state that is having a problem. They have the money (Well whatever there is left that they havent lost...cough), the workers, and plenty of helping hands. Could it be that almost the entire state (Government wise) is Liberal?
No wonder the Hornets want to stay here with us :-)
