The Latest/AND/Depression

As many of you know I lost my Mother just over a year ago and I just recently lost my Dad!

As you can Imagine I have been depressed.

Seperated from my family which all live in Oklahoma and I am stuck here taking care of all the things my Dad put in his will for me to take care of here in California!

Well that's the latest with immediate matters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On To Blogging.......
I have felt for many months to come on and voice my opinion about ALOT of matters, but I feel like I would be screaming in an inclosed room!
I feel like no one is listening to the Conservative point of view and No One will listen to me no matter how loud I scream.
All I know is I dont want to pay any more taxes than I already am, and I am sick to death of this Administration!
I would voice my opinion about everything and am trying to come back around but, I feel like no one is listening to us Conservatives, that I dont even bother.
If anyone has any opinions on any of this feel free to respond.
Thank You,
Marie
Marie, I am so sorry to hear about your father. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
As far as litening, I have been very active in the Tea Party movement and there are roughly 2.5 MILLION registered members of the movement planning an huge march on DC on Sept. 12.
Obama's numbers are falling quickly and even some in his own party are starting to balk at his agenda because they are seeing that the people back home overhwelmingly are opposed to Obama policy and Obama's personal numbers are strting to fall to match the high discontent numbers over policy.
His spending is starting to come back and bite him in the butt. The most recent Rasmussen approval index has Obama at -7, the first time since this poll which started before Clinton, that a President has been in the negative before his second year.
Hang in there my friend and remember that whenever it seems darkest the dawn is soon to follow. Both personally and for our Nation. I see a replay of 1994coming.
God bless you Marie!
BTW- as far as not thinking that what we say makes a difference, remember this. Only about 30% of Americans were in favor of Independence. Another 30% wanted to stay with Britain. The rest didn't care either way.
It took the passion and principled belief in freedom of the 30% who fought for Independence to make a Nation where even those who were against the cause could live free.
I truly believe that we are part of the majority in this country believe in conservative values. But we 39% are the ones who are the activists who stand and speak for the reat and WE WILL BE HEARD BECAUSE WE THE PEOPLE WILL PREVAIL!
Don't give up and stand strong in who you are....a great American!
Well, as an old time American, one who believes in traditional values, and I mean "Traditional" values (things like Give Me Liberty or Give me Death) I am uneasy with taking sides JUST to take sides. Obama is getting critisized because he's spending too much. Well, just a little fact - George Bush's rate of annual deficit spending (that's the amount he spent MORE then the amount of money the U.S Treasury took in per year) was greater on average then ANY president in history. It's kinda hard to argue persuasively against Obama doing the same thing as George Bush (remember, it was Bush's administration that logically decided to put nearly a trillion dollars into the economy to keep it from going off the cliff and so far that policy has worked very well.)
The last president to preside over extreme deficit spending was, ofcourse, Ronald Reagan. Who also cut taxes and then, logically, had to raise taxes again a few years later.
So tell ya what, let's have a logical argument. Let's use some facts. And for God's sake, don't critisize Obama for following the very practices that made conservative presidents great.
Marie, I think that's why no one is listening to you. The arguments seem simplistic (liberals bad conservatives good!) and also focussed to heavily on single issues ("don't raise my taxes and to heck with everything else!!!!").
The modern world is just a tad more complex then you give it credit for.
Marie, I'm glad you're back.
Although, It is indeed a tragedy to lose a loved one. I lost my dad many years ago, and to this day, I still wish I could call him and discuss my problems and decisions with him. He was such a wise man.
My prayers are with you and your family.
I feel your pain in terms of feeling like we are fighting a losing battle. You and I both are merely voices crying out in the wilderness. All we can do is cry out for Justice and hope we can make a difference.
I speak out, and I think no one is listening, but we must keep trying, mustn't we? Our words are our weapons. How else do we conquer?
Again, welcome back, and don't be a stranger. OK?
Dear Marie
Losing your mother and father in this way must be devastating. It took me about a year to get right after my father died - and just when you're recovering from your mother passing, your father dies.
That is really rough Marie and my heart goes out to you and your family.
It is good to see you back.
Marie, I emailed you tonight. I say a prayer for you and your family every night that I haven't heard from you.
Looks like you have another leftist apologist around. We didn't like it when George Bush spent all that money and now Obama is doubling and tripling down on George Bush's mistake. You're wrong about Bush spending more than any other president. Obama has spent more than all the presidents combined.
They're listening now!!!!
People are listening, Marie.
It took months, but Obama finially heard people and abandoned the public health care option - for now. It was only a few days of protests after announcing a speech to children that O changed the lesson plan and will provide the speech for review 24 hrs before delivery.
Liberals are running on fumes, panic and fingerfood. Approval ratings have fallen faster than a French Airbus. Obama has lost his Mojo, Iraq is now in 'I told you so' condition, and the administration doesn't know what to do about Barry's Afghan War.
Another dead Kennedy and John Kerry picked up the mantle of health care - OH, JOYOUS EVENT! Of Ted Kennedy, the left learned that neither great wealth nor great health care, capitalist or socialist, can cure cancerous brain tumors.
I understand the depression after the death of loved ones. It's hard. We haven't the words to describe 'the great empty'. Write something when you can. We will read, we will listen. Soon, Marie, you will rejoin the fight with your friends at your side.
Greetings,
I'm very new to this blogging thing, and honestly, I literally just stumbled across your site while surfing various news oultes.
Anyway, I just want to pose a question to your followers and detracters alike: "Has the two-party system in this country oulived its usefulness, or more accurately, its effectiveness?"
The issues confronting our country are so extremely complex yet, we attempt to handle them so simplistically in either a purely Republican or purely Democratic manner.
Does anyone else think that seeing this country through the myriad problems we face and securing the future of generations to come requires REAL work and REAL input from, at the very least, BOTH sides (since that's all we've got to work with)?
Wishing ill-will to any sitting President has a trickle-down effect, dontcha know? We all suffer.
So rather than bombarding or congressional representives/senators on either side to only support our personal views, shouldn't we urge, dare I say DEMAND, that they do the job they were elected to do and work towards solutions that benefit ALL AMERICANS?
No harm or malice intendend, just wondering.
Regards
Sorry for your loss of both parents.
It's one of those terrible facts of life that we each have to come to terms with death as a reality and a part of life. I hope you have been able to find comfort and peace amongst friends and family, to share in the grief and lift you up.
