Michael Steele...so white he makes Bryant Gumbel seem like a member of the Black Panther Party.

How quiet it must be in the RNC executive bathroom when Steele walks in...better check all the stalls before the NeoConned White Men's Club breaks off the, "Did you hear the one about the black, the Mexican and Jew...?" (also a good idea to be sure Larry Craig is not in there or you may get an unexpected offer for gay sex)

But then again, Steele might laugh at racist jokes. I mean, he's Black...but not "that" black.

Rush is still your leader. Old, Fat, white drug addicts with ego problems have a hard time giving up power and leadership roles to black men. That's not a judgment, just a fact.

WOW! You sound racist there Fed!

But your chastizing of Republicans being the party of old white men kind of went out the window when Clance Thomas was appointed to the Supreme Court, Colin Powell was appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Of Staff, and Secretary of State, and Condoleeza Rice appointment of Nation Security Adviser and then onto the First African American Female Secretary of State!

Yes the party of Lincoln is back and we are damn happy about it :-)

I work with nothing but NeoCons. I hear at least one black joke from them at least twice a week. There's nothing new about Republicans and racist jokes. It's been going on for hundreds of years.

The crack about the bathroom stall was a cheap shot, I'll admit.

Wordsmith, the difference is Democrats do not run on the Anti-Christian platform of being morally superior. When we fall, we fall. We admit it and take our lumps. All humans are imperfect.

When Republicans do it (Limbaugh, Vitter, Gingrich) somehow there's a liberal involved who forced them to do it.

There's nothing new about racist jokes, period. PC-minded folk might get offended; many people regardless of race and party affiliation can find humor and self-deprecation in a solid joke.

Lol...from you, I almost think you're having an off-day if you're not fitting Larry Craig into one of your comments, somehow.

There's some fair criticism in that; but the way I perceive it is this: Republican values voters, when they fail to live up to moral standards they set for themselves (and others) aren't being hypocritical when they fall; not if they are sincere in striving to live up to their moral beliefs. The fact that some fail to live up to their own standards just illustrates that they are human and fallible.

And, yes, of course there are others who can be regarded as "do as I say, not as I do" hypocrites. These are folk who are insincere in what they espouse to believe in.

I hope you can distinguish the difference.
