Well It's Been 41 Years

It's been 41 years since President John F. Kennedy was assasinated! Teddy's still Drunk, and should be in jail for murder. LBJ was able to carry out the most stupid war the Kennedy administration ever got us into Viet Nam! I dont think I have anything nice to say today, I'm sorry any of our President's ever got assasinated. That's about the nicest thing I have to say. Anyones thought's?

It is really too bad...men with great potential cut down before they could really make a difference. Jack Kennedy and his brother Bobby coulda done great things...as for Teddy I agree on him being charged with murder got away with it...LBJ was unfortunately handed a war he couldn't control...and...and..."The world is changed; It is changed because we are no longer safe" George W. Bush...sorry had to put that in I was reading transcripts, hehehe.

Yeah well lol, George Bush is a long way off from several Presidents when Viet Nam started. Jack Kennedy was no saint! I hate the fact he or any of our Presidents got assasinated, but that's about as far as it goes for me and Jack! Jack almost got us blown off the face of the earth by the Soviet Union then turned around and got us in Viet Nam. Which was stupid as hell. And sure people had the right to protest, but I believe (Even in Jack's or LBJ's case) you never protest even if you dont like it against our commander-in-cheif during war time in front of anyone. It makes us look weak and diminishes us in the eyes of the world. The Kerry anti-war Protesters have proven that. But folks are seriously getting sick of that crap in this country. That's why there are such folks I am fond of like Protest Warriors, its about time someone protested against the protesters. But the best way for us Republicans to protest is in the voting booth.
I still cant figure out why Kerry if he wanted to throw his medals at something, why he didnt throw them on JFK's gravesite instead of over the White House wall, Nixon was President then and he was handed a war he got us out of.

You defend Nixon? ;) Honey he only got us out of that war to get elected, pure and simple politics. If Kerry had just nailed down and said "it's wrong and I'm getting us out" like Shave-Me Nixon, he might have just squeaked a win. *Sigh

If Nixon wanted to get us out of a war to get elected he picked a heck of a time considering he resigned and all! I think you need to brush up on your history a bit. You werent even born when Nixon was President were you?
That's why I cant figure out why Kerry threw his medals over the White House wall, he threw them at a President who was getting us out of the war, and he was not throwing them at the right person anyway. he should have thrown them on JFK's gravesite, it was his war after all.

I agree about the Hawkish part, but we were also in the middle of the Cold War, and the Russians/USSR were still pretty ticked over the "Bay of Pigs" mess Kennedy got us almost blown to smithereenes over. But the fact remains, even if he did cave which I doubt, he still eneded it.

Eisenhower never sent troops to Viet Nam, and if you watch the Movie JFK (Which dont get me wrong I dont believe in conspiracy theories but during the course of the investigation into JFK's assasination, there were some interesting points brought up in that movie) That's when I started wondering about Viet Nam. What was interesting was in a certain part of the movie, someone talking to someone else in the White House was mad about something and told LBJ, "Ok then you can have your damn war". It appears Kennedy started it, LBJ got it going, and for whatever reason Nixon got us out. Kennedy almost got us blown off the face of the earth, then got us started in a battle we probably shouldnt have been in except the Fact the Viet Cong attacked one of our Navy Vessels, but Air bombardment would have devistated them and taken care of that. But no one ever seems to blame the Liberals when we have a war we dont need to be in, but let a Republican have a war we DO need to be in and there is utter hell to pay! ie: Clinton-Kosovo, no one ever bitched about where Clinton sent us! I never saw one anti-war protester about that. But let us try and protect ourselves and we are murderers.I have had enough of the left always being on OUR ass about how or when we need to defend ourselves, and thank GOD for Protest Warriors! We just are not going to take this crap anymore.
